Wonder if they will get that technology that lets them see through roofs and such.

#3 jumpinjo May 14, 2012 06:11 PM

Of course law enforcement will abuse it.... and eventually they'll want firepower on them also.,,,

Wait ti'll one drops out of the sky killing innocent civilians. or hits another airplane.

It's just a matter of time.. before these things happen...

#4 BE77 Pilot May 14, 2012 06:23 PM

GA pilot groups all over the country have been fighting these things for years already. But I wouldn't worry, our government knows what it's doing. :D

We all know that the current administration would have no problems bending the law to allow unrestricted surveillance of US citizens.

The truly scary question whether or not Obama will authorize armed strikes inside US territory. Knowing his penchant for twisting the law and pushing boundaries, its only a matter of time. Just hope that no innocents get killed.

Pure speculation, and alarmist at that.

It is reasonable to assume you are being photographed anytime you are outside your house. Inside the house is still, I hope, speculative and alarmist. Most drones flying will not be federal, I think, but rather local and private entities.

#9 Craig Downer May 14, 2012 07:58 PM

What if some of these drones are going to be used to help us track organized drug cartel operations in this country, such as illegal marijuana grow operations on public lands.

Hmmmm, I wonder whether the usual anti-gubmint rants will be raised in this forum against the use of such devices by "the thug".

Maybe not.

Probably not - liberals love government overreach. Even if it means throwing the constitution out the window. And Posse Comitatus hasn't been observed in this country for 100 years.

Given the reactions to my avatar from some of the liberal posters on this forum, - I suppose I should be expecting a Hellfire missile strike on my position shortly.
