Thanks for the good news Peter.

But I'm quite surprised because last year FAI had spoken about a first WC for 2015.

Is this already validated by FAI ?

In any case, we have to be ready for this ;)

Fantastic news. I heard same information from our Federation one week before;) It is so nice to see F3P is finally accepted class!

As I'm told by our Belgian FAI delegate, it was approved last weekend in Lausanne.

Also in 2013 there will be a F3M European championchip in Tjechië, at Czech Heaven

...

Well, I am from Germany and so far all I heard is rumours.

Normally, i.e. in accordance with the FAI Sporting Code (GS - General Section) there usually is a bidding process which should start two years prior to a first class event. In the current list from August 2011, there was nothing mentioned:

:) Jürgen

P.S.: You may want to edit World by adding an "r" and Championship by replacing the "c" with an "s". ;)

F3P WM in Germany

Hello Everybody,

we have been supporting F3P to become an official FAI class now for years and due to the support of all the others that did it the same way, it has been finally successfull. It is correct that Germany send a BID for a FAI WM for 2013 at Coburg. And as far as I have been told, it has been accetpted by the last meeting.

I would have prefered to wait for the official protocoll before spreading this information ....
but anyway we are starting now with the preparation of the contest.

We will do our best to prepare and put through the first F3p FAI Worldchampionship in 2013.

Everybody who is interested about last competition at Coburg march 2012 might find information here
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1595994

or as report of an international contestant:
http://www.alanrcfly.com/index.php/c...2/daec-dm-2012

I would appreciate if somebody (who can?) could change the prefix of this thread from "discussion" to "contest". Otherwise I will start a new thread with "contest" prefix as soon as first informations are fixed.

It has been voted and approved at the Plenary last week, so it is official.

Very nice news!

Now the question is, how will the competitors be selected until next february?

It usually needs a selection contest no? Or may a country simply select people? How much?

Which categories will be represented?

I'm loocking forward for further news. Summer is there, but we should go inside again :-) :-)

Hi,
It is up to the countries (so, AMA in this case) to select the team as they see fit, most probably the same way as for other World Championships. Every country may field a team of 3.

3senior + 1junior are possible

similar to the last F3A Championship in USA every country may send a team of max. 4 pilots. Three Senior and one junior as far as I understood.

It would be perfect to have an idea how many competitors which countries plan to send. Actual as it is the first world championship there is no experience we can rely on ...

Finally we will see.

Best regards

Karl-Ernst

PS: Seems that final date for competition might be fixed soon.

#14 Karl_f3p_GER Jul 18, 2012 12:23 PM

Cool :)

02.02. - 09.02.2013 ? What is the provisional schedule?
The F3P flights are very short and currently the final is just 5 five pilots (1 hour max for 3 rounds).

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:27 PM.
