30-32mm spinner for 5mm shaft

30-32mm spinner for 5mm shaft

I've asked this question before a long time ago but figured id ask it again in case there have been any new developments. ;) Looking for a spinner (not for folding props .. regular spinner) that's in the size range of 30 to 32mm diameter that can fit a 5mm shaft. Anything out there?

If not, can something be done to make one up? For instance can one that's made for a smaller shaft be "reamed" out toi accomodate the 5mm shaft? I was looking at a few out there (here's an example) and thinking whether this was possible to just drill out the collet adapter that comes with it to fit my shaft?

Can you not find a Plastic spinner that does not have a built in shaft adapter gizmo . Lots were made & sold over the Decades before China, that simply went onto the prop stud before the prop.
Try your Local Hobby Shop :-)

Hyperion offers a 32mm spinner that has adapters for different diameter prop shafts, including 5mm... http://www.allerc.com/hyperion-32mm-...er-p-2582.html
(They come in "Aero" and "Standard" shapes.. the Aero is longer and pointier.)

Classic case of the K.I.S.S. principle!

Thanks guys ... it's weird how sometimes you can miss the simplest solution for something even when it's staring you in the face! I've been looking for this solution for two years now and it never occured to me to use a "regular" spinner (without a built in prop adapter - like the HP-SPSTAN-32) and just get a separate 5mm prop adaptor (like the HP-ADAP-50L) for it!

Went for the above Hyperion spinner and prop adapter! (thanks BobRCnut!)

Thanks again!
