Parkzone's New Habu 2 EDF

well here it is :D

looks good aye!

cheers chuck

The Habu 2 is an electric ducted fan (EDF) RC jet from Parkzone decked out in USAF Thunderbirds colours. This top class RC plane comes as a Bind-N-Fly basic package where the pilot only has to provide a transmitter and charger. The Habu 2 builds on the success of the original Habu with its Z-foam technology and adds optional flaps and optional E-flite electric retracts for even better performance. The included Spektrum AR600 receiver, E-flite 60A ESC, and ParkZone servos provide for super reliable operation. No need to replace any of the standard components here! Team it up with a Spektrum DX7S (SPM7800) or DX8 (SPM8800) remote control for an awesome experience.

I retract my previous statement no pnp well that's just stupid.

Well done! What else could you ask for in the second Habu? I will be ordering one of these for sure. I really hope it can be delivered this flying season. Any word on ETA yet?

I hope there is one at the Toledo show tomorrow. I would really like to see it in person.

How about some news on the phantom 32 edf ?

#8 ciscovet Apr 12, 2012 09:24 AM

Aside from the color scheme, whats the difference between the first and second one?

Great news Dave. Thanks. I know it is early and you guys are taking a beating over the F4, but do you have an ETA for the Habu2 yet?

#11 swps Apr 12, 2012 09:34 AM

Parkzone site says Mid June availability......still waiting on my F-4 that was announced last September, but this is foam so shouldn't be a hard date to hit.

Differences I can tell is the way they are selling it. No more PNP, but the RTF is a basic so no battery or charger, not that most that are buying this model need it.

One disappointment I can already spot is the hatch, looks like a magnet is still up front.

I've got 2 Habu 32's and Habu with retracts and while I like the color scheme, I don't think I'll be getting one, but I've said things like that before...;)

They have a $99 bare airframe set listed under parts, if it's painted that would be sweet, my V1 is getting a little ragged, and a retract/flap ready airframe would be nice, everything else seems to be a direct swap over, basically a new Habu for $100 and a set of retracts. I wish they would expand on the 15 sized EDF line, something lighter, scale and aerobatic, delta and/or canards or something with thrust vectoring would be cool.

Habu 2 EDF BNF Basic By ParkZone (1 min 40 sec)

#14 ciscovet Apr 12, 2012 10:23 AM

They should have it out next month since all they did looks like they made a ridge to flex the foam for the flaps.

Looks like this will be my first EDF.
