GOPRO FPV Spider Quadcopter V4.0 + Anti Virbation Mount (NEW Pics Updated 15Apr2012)

6 Attachment(s)
I was designed a Spider FPV Quadcopter with my CNC partner in last year September. That was just a beta version and we only promote some to our RC friends for testing in Asia.

The reason I didn't promote it here because I still not satisfied with the design yet. After spent few months and listen to my RC friends feedback...here is the version 4.0 that I would love to share...

We spent lots of effort and time to design this model that finally work great with GOPRO, we choose high quality Carbon Fiber and parts to make it become outstanding.

This frame is specially designed for FPV, you can even use 10 inches props without seeing the Blades get into your GOPRO fisheye angle. Photo of complete setup will be update to the forum soon...

Things improved:

1) Effective Anti vibration Mount for GOPRO or Light Weight Compact camera.
2. Camera Mount moved to the front (10 inches props without seeing Blades edge even with GOPRO Fisheye)
3) 12mm Round Carbon Fiber Tube for better air flow and stronger than aluminum square tube.
4) Ultra Sound mount ready for height detection (for FF,Rabbit or MWC FC board).
5) Extra durable motor mounts (Stronger than earlier version, Can applies to all 2208, 2212 and 2216 series motor, I am using NTM2826-1200kv & NTM2830-750kv and fit perfectly)
6) Adjustable Battery holder.
7) FC mounting holes 45mm X 45mm: Support most of the FC boards such as KK, AQ, TMF, MWC Paris, FF, Rabbit and more...(WKM & NAZA FC are just using sticker and not a problem)
8) Much durable design.

Full CF Version (HEAVY-DUTY VERSION) Specs:
* 2.0mm Import Carbon Fiber Sheet
* 1.0mm Carbon Fiber Round Tube
* 550mm motor to motor
* Weight 260g

Full CF Version (STANDARD VERSION) Specs:

* 1.5mm Import Carbon Fiber Sheet
* 0.5mm Carbon Fiber Round Tube
* 550mm motor to motor
* Weight 220g

Hi Dividesign

I like your design a lot. Just have some questions:

1. At the height of the gopro, what props can you use so that they are not visible in any video?
2. What landing gear do you have in mind, if any?

Cheers
Rob

I like it a lot. Where did you get the motor mounts and boom mounting brackets? For an estimate on price if you are looking to market, I would say around $90. You could reduce your cost and cost to the buyer by going with G10 for the frame material. It is only slightly heavier. You could offer G10 as an alternative. Some people like CF. Personally I think it is a little over rated. For booms it is almost mandatory but for frames it is not necessary.

I would love to cut at least 10-20 sets at once, so I will not waste too much Carbon Fiber Sheet... The more people join in, the more discount I can give away...:)
