It is less rounded, I dont know what to think of the rigid ANT. It seems to be longer than the rigid ANT on the DX10T. It will be interesting to see what the pros and cons of certain features will be.

Funny but with a name like DX18 my first reaction was noticing it does not have a screen like the 18mz. :)

that was the exact same reaction as mine! although i guess the 18mz is over $2000...

I dont think touch screen is that important. As long as the roller is well made and doesnt break. My roller on the DX8 hasnt broken but it is too slippery. The screen looks a little bigger though.

what other features are there on the dx18 that seem to stand out?

$2600, I am following the 18MZ, but the price is a bit high. They dont really have anything that narrows the gap between outragous price and the affordable ones.

The numerical value for the trims display is important. Sailplane programming. Hopefully "Inactivity Alarm" is user selectable.

I guess spektrum focus more on the programming and actual useful features instead of big, coloured touch screen display type radio manafactures.

It doesnt seem to have sliders. Also I just noticed the roller is black, hopefully with a friction feel to it.

They finally have the TX ON/OFF switch in the right (upside) position.
Personally I don't like the plastic grab handle on a Tx of this price range.
The DX8 Tx case already has big overall dimensions, the DX18 seems even larger.
