LPU WI World Models P51 Hoover Colors with Motor ESC and servos

10 Attachment(s)
Up for sale is a World Models P51 Mustang. It is a .46 size that was converted to electric (can be easily made glow again). I am looking to sell it to fund another project. It currently has a Turnigy 50-55 600KV Brushless Motor, a Hobbyking 90-100A ESC, Futaba servos throughout for controls, and a Hitec servo for the retracts. The retracts are mechanicals, and I have had no problems taking off of grass with this plane. The prop I currently have on it is a Master Airscrew Formula One Series 12.5X8.5 and this setup is pretty quick and unlimited vertical on a 6 cell pack. I was using a Rhino 6 cell 4900mAh 20C lipo with great results. I am sure 5 cells would fly this aircraft just fine as well. There is a year old Tenergy 2000mAh 4.8V NimH receiver pack so if motor runs out of power, or ESC fails you still have control. Unfortunately the wing has to be removed to acess the lipo, but it is easy and have had no troubles with it. There was an air exit hole cut in the tail of the aircraft. I can send pics of it if you would like. If you are more of a glow flyer, I will sell without the brushless power system. To convert back all you would need is a fuel tank and motor mounts for your engine. I have the clear cowl trim templates for cutting the painted cowl. This aircraft was suprisingly easy to fly with no bad habbits. If you have any experience with low wings, this won't be a problem. It slows down for landings easily, and VERY stable. Any questions feel free to ask!

With motor and ESC---$150 OBO

Airframe and servos--$110 OBO

Will/Cannot ship. Please don't ask....the tail being together and the size of the wing would be just too much to be worthwhile. Not to mention I do not have access to a box large enough to be sure it arrives intact. Sorry....... Cash on pickup...or Paypal before pickup is fine as well.

I loved mine and the way it flew, steal at that price. Good luck on the sale.

Yeah it really does fly great....so in that regard I will miss it if I can sell it. But I really want to try a hotliner/warmliner.

I've got a CSD Vortex RTF that I would trade you straight up for this. But you'll have to ship it to Calif--I'll ship mine to you. Plane was radar'd at 140mph a few years ago at the Soar Utah event. Be a great little hot liner for you to get started with.

Mmm lets see "Distance from you: 764 miles"
both ways 1528 miles, the car can do 24 mills per gallon (if i draft behind a semi the whole way)
That`s 63.6 gallons times 4$ a piece ---256$---

now what do i tell the wife?!,,,

I would love to trade...but after running the numbers through the calculators on USPS and UPS it looks to be in the $200 plus range to ship....whether split into two boxes or not. The tail being together is what hurts the cost the most. I could ship just the wing for $50, but the fuse with tail together is the expensive part. A box 55"X24X?? is just too costly to ship. I really do appreciate the offer.....wish you were closer.

Will consider partial trades plus cash... I have a hotliner coming that I need to buy parts for:D

what else are you looking for as far as partial trades??

I was thinking of something along the lines of a small park flyer....small foamy etc. Mostly need cash so it would have to be a partial trade.
