Pioneer Glider
1 Attachment(s)
have a Pioneer glider kit on order, see pic below.
Vendor is RC Sun
has anybody got or seen yet ?
Based I believe on Jim Marske's Pioneer III glider under construction.
2.4m wingspan in EPo.
Using my own bits that are in the salvage boxes.
All comments welcome

Looks great! I did a search for "RC Sun Pioneer" and gave up on page 3, is this a fiberglass ship? Which vendor/website did you order it from?

Hit products and then propellor aircraft.
I presumed it was a foamy, doesnt say so now that I look.

Cool looking plane! What was the price? I don't need another (repeat 10x) but I like it. 4 servo wing and no elevator. I want to be the first one on the local field with one of these!

I have not yet received this kit and despite an email advising that the EMS tracking number would be sent to me last week, I currently have a communication black hole.
Waiting on a reply to my latest email sent this morning again asking for shipping confirmation.
Would suggest caution in making payment to this vendor until I actually get this kit and
can post details

Thanks for the update - how much was the kit?

#11 BarnOwl Sep 19, 2011 10:47 AM

I like it a lot! 2.45 m wingspan. It has a very cool shape, the yellow is very, very nice!

How much is it?

#12 Biggles51 Sep 19, 2011 03:08 PM

The kit was US$100, ARF $170.
EMS to Australia US$70.
All a bit academic though until I actually receive.
Will post when have some result.

Tnx. Biggles....keep us posted!

#14 JimNM Sep 19, 2011 04:22 PM

I assume kit is foam parts, ARF includes servos (6, right?)
Thanks for sharing your information. It's a neat looking plane and we wish you a speedy resolution and successful maiden flight.

I found a youtube video. It seems to have a very stable flight:
