Overview

Take Stryker thrills with you wherever you go with the Ultra Micro Series F-27Q Stryker 180. It packs the punch of an E-fliteŽ 3000Kv 180 brushless outrunner motor that delivers exhilarating speed and climb performance, just like the big F-27Q. It also has functional twin rudders so you can push the limits with extreme aerobatic maneuvers like flat spins, snap rolls, blenders and more. Perhaps best of all, you get this awesome performance without having to sacrifice any of the smooth, predictable flight characteristics that have made every Stryker a sport pilot favorite.

Some Questions Answered

Battery Bay
15mm Wide BUT! with some careful carving it could be increased to 18mm
It's 16mm Deep level with foam. Hatch is 15mm deep from back of air scoop, to end of canopy, under the airscoop it's 10mm deep. Hatch is 80mm long back of scoop to front of canopy is 20mm
Battery Bay usable inside length is 55mm

Main Board
The main board is standing on it's side right behind the battery bay

Wing & tail Hinges
The wing has three foam hinge and four tape hinges
The tail has one foam and three tape hinges (I think?)

Servo Arms
all the servo arms to me look protected as seen in the photos by the black plastic skids and the servo covers

Motor Mount
The motor mount screws onto a big piece of plastic that strengthens the foam between the two rudders and runs down the body to the end of the blue lines

Battery Size

40mm Long X 16mm Wide X 10mm Deep Weight 13.8g

hope this answers a few questions

Chuck...Great job on the video!!

Very nice close up shots .

That maiden flight was fantastic!!

It really has some power yet still can be flown at a slower speed, nice!
It's also a lot quieter than i would have expected.

Thanks for the video!!

Nice vid Chuck.

Sounds like the Corellas and Galahs liked it too!.... Not;)

#11 ChuckTseeker Jul 28, 2011 02:07 AM

yes it was a dream to fly i really really want one haha :D

just a lite toss forward as if it was a glider, get the hands back onto the controls and ease in some throttle and away she goes as easy as it looked in the vid. The ol helmet cam caught it all this time, will experiment with zooming a bit more, i didn't want to go too much as i really needed that footage to add to the un-boxing vid to make it complete

still think your want to pre order this one i can't see it sitting on the shelves for very long :D

cheers chuck

PS Guess when the USA wakes up this thread is going to grow Fasssstttt............. :D

i was holding out for this announcement, was just about to get my first micro a few days ago- the sbach.
i allready have the fullsize F27-Q, so i am in two minds to get which micro. i can only have one, and i am swaying towards the sbach-purely for a bit of variety.
