The UK / Ireland Gliders and Gliding discussion and banter thread

How about it? There are lots of "regional" threads on this board that go on and on, why not one for glider fliers in what used to be called the "British Isles"?

But you have 1
http://www.rcgroups.com/united-kingdom-344/
Mind you I posted in there once chasing some info and that forum is as quite as graveyard
Then I found some answers on PSSA forum still very quite, but I found this one
http://www.modelflying.co.uk/forums/threads.asp?t=80
nice bunch of blokes but still a bit quite

The regional section does seem under-used. The thing is, they apply to all sorts of RC, this idea is for glider fliers.

RCM&E as well as Flyquiet are also options, but I guess the mods here won't enjoy us talking about them here!

Anyhow, I've now resigned as moderator on the "other" one...

Refugees from "Moderation"

Not really a "proper" gliderista board for UK peeps.
This one is pretty fast moving tho, blink and it's slipped to page 2

Wait, what happened? What's the "other" one?

Anyways, if the Aussies can manage a thread, surely their forebears can pull something together? ;)

Chris, many thanks for all your work on the other one. It was like we all became one big family.

I've no real idea what happened other than a bit of mid summer madness.

Hopefully we will all find a new home - even if it ends up being the old home!
I'm not completely joking here. There is much to applaud about the other place and I don't think that we have the skills to build a new one.

Anyway, see you around soon - wherever we end up.

Hmmm I think I understand Chris ,I was a moderator for a number of years as well , but when accusations start and rumors push in and everything gets blown up it makes you think why they hell am I doing this . so just a plian simple (and I do mean simple DOH!!) user of the slope forum I am.

Thanks Paul, much appreciated:). We'll see what happens.

This was just a blow-up about a very upstanding and dedicated contributor to the other forum being suspended by the owner for a trivial (personal really) reason. I found my position as a junior mod untenable after that :( ..
