Nice find! It looks like it's in great condition. I hope you keep it as an electric! Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I have the 50 and 120 versions and they're both electric conversions.... here's the thread for the 50 sized. It has a ton of great tips and pictures.

So, few words and photos about how previous owner make converting...

On motorwall put fiberglass

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/DSCF0144.jpg

For motorholder he used alloy motorholder from HK

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/DSCF0145.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/DSCF0147.jpg

From motorwall he must cut out some part becouse battery must be moved forward to get CG on the right place

Hard fly and nice landing... Now little bit I scare of the modell.

Thanks! I think you'll be very happy with how this plane flies. Lands a little fast but it's very manageable and a real rocket at 6s (but flies beautifully in a scale manner with 5s).

Very nice build pictures.. I really like that motor mount!

Can I ask if you have found a decent 3 bladed spinner yet? I'm about to order the World's Model spinner. It's about the best scale spinner i've seen for this plane..

#12 flyer77 Aug 16, 2011 05:58 AM

I had a testflight on Sunday.

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2593.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2594.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...1/IMG_2595.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...1/IMG_2598.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...1/IMG_2621.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...1/IMG_2607.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...1/IMG_2623.jpg

The first two landings were bad, the third one was the worst. It has ended with a motor holder damage

Nice Job,, you need to find a better place to fly though,, wow that's tight.

How much time do you get per pack?

#14 flyer77 Aug 17, 2011 02:48 AM

No, it's a good place for landing. I use it for CAP-580 (1400mm) and Sky Hero (1560mm) , too.
After 5 minutes of flying I charged approx. 2100mAh in battery 5S 4000mAh

#15 flyer77 Sep 28, 2011 08:26 AM

When I came home, I checked what could be the reason of the model's turning of after landing. When the left wheel takes all the weight of the plane, it blocks.

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2769.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2768.jpg

I've dissasembled model and begun with prepares.

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2761.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2759.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2760.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2766.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2764.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_2762.jpg

First, I ironed the alloy motorholder...
Later, using polyester filler, I've prepared engine cover

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_3195.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_3197.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/IMG_3199.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_3200.jpg

Using sandblock I've finished surface, but painted it only after test fly

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_3204.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_3205.jpg

I built back the motorholder, motor and ESC

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_3201.jpg

I've checked CG

http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_3222.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_3220.jpg

Next step is test fly... again...
