Hobbyking Extra 260 3D EPO Red (PNF) (USA Warehouse) RED Plane
Hobbyking Extra 260 3D EPO Blue (PNF) (USA Warehouse Blue Plane

The Hobby king Extra 260 is a genuine 3D performer, that is so easy to put together, you will be knife-edging at your local field within an hour and a half of opening the box and only that long if you decide to program in some mixes for aerobatics!

As well as all the servos, motor & ESC being pre-installed, this model cleverly needs no glue at all to assemble, the tailplane and steering tail wheel are connected by 2 bolts, the 1pc wing simply bolts on under the magnetic canopy. Made from super tough EPO, decals are pre-applied, under-carriage is tough alloy with pre-fitted plastic spats and is another bolt on item. The Lipoly hatch is in the nose for fast battery changes.

A combination of low flying-weight, large control surfaces and plenty of power from the pre-fitted brushless motor spinning a large SF prop means a great performer at any speed. The Hobbyking Extra 260, whilst ideal for the 3D flyer on high rates, is also an easy to fly model once set up on low rates, making it a good choice for the sport & intermediate pilot looking to fly some less extreme aerobatics.

So have you had a chance to fly it, your review reads almost exactly what HK has on it's site.

Pretty heavy for a 1m span foamie :(

I'm very interested in this one. I'm really refraining from hitting the buy button in hopes some one can give a flight report. Not sure if i want to be a guinea pig.

Call me a guinda pig, I hit the buy button.
I had been looking at the HK BIG yak 54, but so many burned up motors on it, and every motor I wanted to buy was backorder, so I saw this was a new one, so I blew a $100 on, and I have plenty of RX's and 2200 batterys, to use with this plane.
will post what breaks first, if it is not pilot error.

Looks pretty decent for $100, but we all know looks can be deceiving;)

I seriously doubt it's going to be a "3D machine" when it weighs 30oz and is powered by only a 28-30 motor. I don't see that motor making much more than 26-27oz of thrust.

Still might be fun for aerobatic fun at $114. delivered:)
