The Good Getting Better: Skywing's 48-in MXS

6 Attachment(s)
Hello, Foamie lovers:

I am very excited to report on Skywing's new product. It looks terrific to me, better than any of their older models in my opinion! Its availability is imminent.

Thanks to Nick's experiment of using SFGs on Skywing's other planes in Australia, Skywing now includes SFGs in their MXS kit.

The new plane comes in 2 color schemes. Here are its specs:
- Airframe only weight: 450 g
- Total weight without battery: 870 g
- Wingspan: 1219 mm (48 in)
- Length: 1152 mm
- Wing area: 30.4 sqdm

And for the plane, Skywing recommends:
- 14-gram digital servo x 4
- 40 Amp ESC
- 13 x 6.5 Prop
- 3715 brushless motor with KV820
- 1800-2200 mAh 25C 3S lipo

Please support Skywing, a very small manufacturer in China, which has brought us some innovative yet inexpensive products and keeps improving them by listening to their customers.

That looks very nice, seems that they are tailoring their color schemes for Western markets. Also like the idea of using 3 cell 2200Mah batteries too. Will probably buy this one in the next couple of months.

Wow! This looks fantastic! Skywing continue to release very interesting products. I am confident it will fly well since all of my current Skywing planes fly well.

Looks very nice, and looking forward to videos.

Do you have any more details or pics on the motor mount area?

Wow indeed! It seems to fly great, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Skywing. I have a few Skywing planes already and they are my favourite foamies.
