Proboat Miss Geico Unboxing and Maiden!

Hey there, I'm a noob... and this is my first RC boat!
I've done my research and got the Proboat Miss Geico.
The package arrived today from UPS, getting it setup tonight for the maiden tomorrow.
Here is a video of me unboxing this beautiful boat!

I maiden-ed my proboat miss geico today at a local lake, and it went well!
I used the stock prop and low timing to get used to the boat, had the CG 9 inches forth from the transom, it bounced a little but i think it was just the slight chop from the wind.
For tomorrow i put the Octura X642 sharpened and balanced on the shaft, and set the timing up to high, raised the strut to bump up the speed.

Sorry we had issues with the Video camera but i will update this log again tomorrow with a video.

Got the second run down today with the X642 and high timing, it definatly bumped up the speed, first run it topped out at 35mph (my estimate) and now its up to 40mph.
The strut was way to high because i was prop walking at top speed and getting major bounce. I bet if i eliminate this i could get it to go 45mph.
I will have to play around with it and keep adjusting the CG and the strut hight to get to run smooth.
My mom video taped this so it isnt the best video.

awesome! my dog was chasing the boat back and forth on the shore line!

I lowered the strut about 3mm and moved the batteries forward about 2 inches and got no bounce, other then going over the wake. It was much faster! and accelerates really well!

I don't like to run wide open all the time because it is really cool to see this boat glide across the water at medium speeds, and it has really good maneuverability at slow speeds, and very fast and stable on cornering. Getting everything set up right could get this thing up to 42mph no problem,

Yes my mom loves to come along! The lake i take the boat to is a very popular fishing lake and i try to keep my boat in the corner section of the lake but this thing is just so fast and fun i tend to drive it all over the place :p None of the fishermen has yelled at me yet so i think they enjoy the boat for 10 minutes till the battery gets low.

Haha funny, before i showed up i saw a skilled fisherman leave with four brown trout that were 12-18 inches long.

So i still have the "wah wah wah" bounce, so i set the strut and neutral level, with batterys hanging a half inch of the back of the trays, and angled my rudder inward (tucking in). we'll see what this will do.
Any suggestions?
thanks
