Guardian stabilization module for your OSD Pro - $54.99!

Eagle Tree is pleased to announce the Guardian Stabilization Expander. Feather-light and about the size of a postage stamp, the IMU based Guardian uses cutting edge inertial sensors and sensor fusion algorithms to provide world class stabilization to your fixed wing or elevon model. It’s a “Guardian Eagle” for your plane! :D

To stabilize your model, just mount the Guardian in a level orientation, plug it into your OSD Pro, do some minimal setup, and away you go.

Stabilization gain can be controlled via an extra knob on your radio (via the OSD Pro’s Aux2 port), so you can tune or turn off stabilization as you fly!

The Guardian also provides an Artificial Horizon Indicator (AHI) on your OSD Pro screen, and supports both standard and elevon models.

At $54.99 (USD, MSRP, projected), the Guardian is the lowest cost stabilization module/IMU available, but performance and upgradability are not compromised. The Guardian supports internet firmware update, so new enhancements and features are just a download away.

We are readying the Guardian for release in early summer.

Cool stuff! One suggestion, AHI seems a bit low in update / frame rate, would be nice if it were more "fluid". Good job Bill.

More good stuff from ET! And at a super price point too. Well done, Bill.

More info please! :)

I assume this will work perfectly as a stand alone?

Awesome! Ya, where does the line start? This will make RTH with my OSD Pro much safer, reliable. Very very cool.

Sounds like a must have for those of us with the Eagle Tree OSD. Really looking forward to this and hearing the reports.

So will this just plug into the elogger?

Will this use existing control surface wiring attached to an installed OSD pro?

Yes, right now the AHI line redraw rate is (arbitrarily) set to 10Hz. This is fine for "normal" FPV flying, but it can lag with aggressive flying. The stabilizer is updating much faster internally, of course. We'll increase the redraw rate in the next video we post. :)

Yes, it just "daisy chains" with the OSD - eLogger bus. It can plug either into the eLogger, or the OSD (your preference).

Correct, no additional wiring is needed.
