Here's a testimonial from one of our fan Phil Landram
Received two of the new Sky Lipos today. I ordered a 40C 4S 2200 for my Air Field F-4 and a 30C 4S 1000 for my T-33. I am very impressed with both. The T-33 topped out at 82 mph with the same voltage from another company. With the Sky Lipo it averaged 92 mph and did not seem to get hot. The 40C on the F-4 blew me away. With a 30C 2200 Blue I was able to get to max out at 71 mph and hand launching it was a disaster waiting to happen. With the 40C the jet just flew right out of my hands! The top speed was 88.2 mph! All that said, neither jet has the stock gear and are set up for running a four cell set up. From now on I will only buy Sky Lipos!!! What a great buy!!

Hi
Some of the Blue Lipos (25c 1800 and 25c 2200) are out of stock. When are they expected in stock? Thanks.

I've used the sky lipo not knowing the metal plates, but so far so good. Not very warm at all. We'll see if this lipo puffs like the rest though.

Good lipo, recommended.

I wish the lipo battery industry would standardize the connectors that come on their products!:censored:

I just got some Sky Lipo 3S-40c-1300mah and they have a non-standard banana connector.

Couple days ago I got some Turnigy 3S-20C-1300mah with the XT-60 connector on them!

Means that I have to, yet again, make a work-around for their problem!

I don't even think an adapter is available!

And soldering skills are often frustrating on 14 AWG wires!

Not to mention the safety factor!

I just received my 2 x 6S 3000 mah 30C lipos. I have about 7 cycles on them so far. I'm liking them so far. Great construction from looking at the outside. Very low IR compared to other lipos like Flightmax and Blue Lipos.

I've got 3 new 800 mah 20c packs charging - hope they're as good as everyone says!

Skylipo.

I put part of one through my Honey Bee, but it was too windy to fly long.

Did fine as far as I could tell.

Gens Ace 25C vs. sky Lipo 40C

Looking at 4S 4000mah.

Whats the verdict?

Judging by a discharge graph that someone else posted comparing Gens Ace 25C to Sky Lipo 40C, they are about the same.

In my opinion, and I don't have any facts on this, but I think Gens Ace makes Sky Lipo exclusively for Hobby Partz. Both very similar construction except the placement of the balance wires and how the main wires come out from the lipos. I like the Sky Lipo better because of this. The 25C rating of Gens Ace compares well against Thunder Power 45C.

I've heard nothing but good things about Gens Ace. I hear that their Discharge rating is very precise unlike all of my Turnigy packs. I don't really know much at all about sky lipos.

For a few dollars more, I think I will try the Gens Ace.

Thanks for the reply.

Charge rates

I just received 2 sky lipo 2s 1000mAh packs, have a few flights on them and nothing bad to say. I am curious tho, it was said that these packs can be charged at 3C, has anyone tried this?

Thanks,
Sop
