Two new products added to the website:

1) EMAX 8 gram servos. These are the servos I use in my build threads. Now you can buy the same servo as you know it will work!

2) 50mm EDF fan units with 6 blade rotor. This fan is used by some in the new Jpower 50mm EDF jets. This fan can be used as a replacement for the stock fan unit but needs the rotor drilled out.

These were added a few weeks ago:

3) Servo extensions. I now am carrying servo extensions in various lengths. Another item I use in my builds, now you can get the same parts I use as well.

Would be nice if you offered the metal gear version of that servo!...if it is as decent a servo as the plastic-geared one, that is. It's not so easy to find decent low-cost metal-gear servos.

Nice to see that the servo extensions you have are in the 22 gauge, not 32 gauge...I worry about using the thin stuff...especially with the ESC-to-RX wire.

However: the servo extension that I probably use the most after 6-inch is 3-inch. Maybe 3-inch even more than 6-inch. And "you know who" doesn't carry those either. So I pay through the nose for them from Horizon. :(

Many of you have been asking me about 70mm EDF power systems for some time. I have decided to start carrying the RCLander Metal EDF motor/fan units. I have used one and was very impressed with the units and have a few more 70mm EDFS I want to try out. So in a few days I will have in stock the new version of the RCLander Dynamic Power Series Metal EDF unit. Specifically I have ordered the 68mm verison with the 3580KV motor for 4S use.

Here is a link to their test video:

The 4800s on 4S in the Hyperflow fan will be OK on 40 amp ESCs. The Lander fans have cleared US customs so hopefully will come in tomorrow but the weather here in Ohio is nasty so may not arrive until Wednesday. The biggest ESC I have now is 60, I will be getting 80 amp ESCs in about two weeks.

Here is what I tested using a Pentium 60 amp ESC.

Low Timing:
733 watts, 14.58 volts, 50.3 amps

High Timing:
890 watts, 14.50 volts, 61.4 amps

Do not use Medium timing, it made the motor stutter mid throttle.

RCLander recommends the higher timing for the dynamic series.

Thanks for the info Don. What battery are you planning on running in you Mig with this fan unit? I have some 3600 4S packs which I think might be too heavy and some 2650 4S 40C packs but I'm not sure the fligth time on those with this unit.

I was going to go for a 4S4000 as that what I had in my RCLander Panther last year.

Well I've got to finish up my christmas shopping and if I have enough funds left over I'll get one of the lander units, probably in a week or so. I'll definetly have to get a stiffer spring for the front retract, the stock one is pretty much bottomed out with a 2200 4S pack in it, LOL.
