I'm all over this one. I love F18's and I want one that is a single 70mm EDF with electric retracts. Who is the manufacturer of this jet? I sure hope it's not starmax. Please let it be someone else and hopefully it's EPO foam. It looks like EPO foam in the video.

P.S. The crash in the video is priceless. I don't know why it's funny. It bums me out for him because he crashed, but it's also hysterical :). It's like watching the "bails" part of a skateboarding video at the end. Uncomfortable and funny all at the same time.

I've yet too see a Blue Angels demo F-18 carrying ALL those WEAPONS!:rolleyes:

Not to mention it's a Super Hornet and not a Legacy Hornet. Not a big issue since I imagine they'll be coming out with a gray one as well. Looks pretty good though. Probably a good substitute for those who don't want the added costs of the HL 90MM one.

I was just wishing to myself that someone would make a solid super hornet with retracts. Good job exceed!

sweet the exceed rc is back!!

#7 tomcee Nov 19, 2010 01:32 AM

very nice Super hornet.
it does not have the look of a pregnant goose like the HL one :-)

Hope they will offer different color schemes :-)
and options single or two seat cockpit :-)
And a front gear door would be nice :-)

Tony's flying skills seems to have improved dramatically and/or the airframe makes the flights look really smooth and scale like. This new Exceed Rc version seems to get the proper LG location to CG so that takeoff rotation look smooth and nose high landings can be held a few seconds. The LG on the previous version was so far back that ROG always resulted in the plane leaping on takeoff and slamming on the nose gear upon landing.

Fan sounded like perfectly balanced and no growling, almost jet like. I hope the production version maintains this quality.

Can't find much obvious to complain about except for the lack of rudder control stock. Though hinge is already molded in - the thought is there but no follow through, I wonder why? Tony could have easily averted the high alpha crash if he could put in some right rudder. Note to Nitroplanes, please include rudder control for your stock version.

Hi Andy,

Are you the designer for this one? Looks like a winner as the plane in the video flies great. The shock absorbing gear is a nice feature. One small suggestion; can you widen the main gear track a little more? It seems very narrow and like the previous version would be prone to tipping sideways during crosswind taxi.

That's excellent news Andy. The plane looks good and I'd love to own one.

When is the jet being released to be sold by different vendors?

Also, are the retracts build strong, and how are the hear doors attached? I'm just hoping the gear doors are attached without the method of a string like LX models, but more like RC Lander who uses spring loaded gear doors.

Thanks.

Cant wait! the diamond scheme has my name all over it!

Thank you.
You are quite right.
Tilt is the only way.
In order to maintain scale.
Reduce the turning angle, can be effectively avoided.
