F5B - SpeedFire

4 Attachment(s)
Today I received my new airplane. It's amazing.

The little brother of the Backfire.

The wing weight is 405 gr with everything installed !
The linkage is inside the wing. Nothing is visible no horns no linkage, no covers.
Wingspan is 1980mm , it has 150mm chord and it's thick at the fuse 11,9mm.

All weight of the plane is 575gr with 6 Servos. ( 2 in the V-tail ).
All linkage installed. All you have to do is glue the motor mount (included) and solder the wing connector (also included).

Hyperion servos all the way.

The fuse can accept very big Lipos.
The nose accept 18" prop and it left about 10mm to the wing tip.

Wow I can't wait to maiden it.

Some pictures attached.

I will make a close pictures of the little details tomorrow.

Did I read the spec, right it has a 96" wing?

Looks nice Georgi, you must be thanksfull to Petr for such a nice paint job.

Can you please post close ups of the linkages? Where they connect to the controll surfaces. I wonder if it is clevices on PCB in there, if so then that leaves very short moment arms. How is the slop on the controll surfaces at this stage?

Also, could you measure for me the height and wipth of tailboom just before V-tail.

Nope, 1.98m or 78 inch. Maybe you've read the Backfire specs?

Any hints for prices and availability in Europe, special germany ?

imho good chance for a nice replacement of the rw2b experiments.

ok, NOW I must see close ups of this... Whats the story Joe?

#15 GeorgiMirov Sep 09, 2010 08:54 AM

It's not RDS. It's just servos with very small arms and also small arm in the ail/flaps.
I'm now finishing the wiring. Will post pictures this evening.
