Walkera V120D02 WowHobbies.com review

8 Attachment(s)
The Walkera V120D02 has an early arrival date. It is running about a week early and www.WowHobbies.com will be receiving the first batch of the flybarless cp micro on Aug 2 or Aug 3. The receiver contained is a Rx2610v with built-in 3 axis gyro. It shares the same parts as the 4G6/4G6S except for the head assembly. There will be an upgrade flybarless kit available if you wish to upgrade your 4G6/4G6S to flybarless. If you have a 4G6, you will need a RX2610v since the 3 axis gyro is required for flybarless design. If you have a 4G6S, the 3 axis receiver will work but may not be as ideal. We will see as more test results are reviewed.

Cheers,
Jonathan

Jonthan,

Will you be carrying the spare parts at that time as well or will it be a few few weeks until the spare parts are stocked?

Thanks.

Spare parts are about 10 days after release date instead of 3 weeks behind.

Jonathan,

The "big question" is if the RX2610v is fully programmable under 2801 mode or not... You will be the first to be able to answer this for us.
If it is fully 2801 programmable I will get the RX2610v and flybarless kit for my 4G6/4G6S.

Are the main and tail blades different or just new graphics?

#11 jabsten Jul 26, 2010 06:23 PM

Also, if it isn't fully compatible with 2801 pro, then what is the differences between the new 3 axis gyro and the one on the 4G6s?

#12 boom Jul 26, 2010 08:01 PM

The difference is that the new 3 axis gyro will be compatible with 2801 pro :)

Tom, after being on the phone for over an hour with 3 different Walkera engineers. The RX2610v is confirmed to be 2801 mode compatible. This does not come as a surprise as the 4F200 is already working under that mode. Sorry for the delay, it wasn't an easy answer to obtain as we have been getting no confirmation after days of inquiries. We will continue to work hard to provide new information on this heli.

Cheers,

As of today, I have yet seen a third party video of the V120D02. The video with whistling music in the background, I believe was filmed at Walkera's plant. Thou, I am not 100% certain but the front entrance in the background looks very familiar. Walkera is learning from Apple and Microsoft. The new product release date is getting synchronized. This leads me to believe that all the videos may get published almost near the same day.
