Fastest F3B Speeds

Same idea as in the DS forum. To answer questions like who, which plane, when + where. And to do some statistics to see how speed times evolved over the last years.

-only speed runs measured in competitions
-only speed runs below 14s. Else the list gets endless
(Exceptions: Michelle's flight and for historical reasons, I still listed the WC flights by Espen, Nic Wright, Joakim Stahl, Dennis Duchesne, Reinhard Liese and Daryl).

Sorted by time:

Very interesting, this news did not make it to us in Europe. We were actually at that time thinking that the swedes got the fastest time with the big Racemachine (after the WC in Kirchheim) with about 13.7s.

Reto

PS: Sorry Mike, I won't post your 11.8s run from last Saturday, it was not in a competition:).

The french went also quick lately, nicely done Fabrice!

I can confirm that run. I had a watch on it. Impressive.

Sweet, now it is quite nicely sampled in 0.1s steps:)!

Dave, your link is to Cal Valley 2010?

#10 djklein21 Jun 15, 2010 11:47 AM

Sorry, I fixed it.

#11 andreas_herrig Jun 15, 2010 03:56 PM

Hi Reto,

I have some small corrections, for preciseness, and two additions:

- the 13.49s, April 2008, Kirchheim was Martin's flight

- my flight in Salzburg this year was with the Big Freestyler...

- 13.68s, Martin Herrig, Schocker, September 2004, Lünen, Germany

- 13.91s, Andreas Herrig, Schocker, Mai 2003, Neuhardenberg, Germany

Grüße,

Andreas

#12 RetoF3X Jun 15, 2010 04:04 PM

Thank you Andreas,

Was Neuhardenberg 2010 also flown with big Freestyler?
And is the big Freestyler the same as the Freestyler 4?

Still missing the Racemachine flight somewhere in 2003-2004 (was published in Aufwind after the worlds in Kirchheim).

So is MW's 13.74 the current WC record?

..Good to see you chime in Andreas..

#14 FLY F3B Jun 15, 2010 06:35 PM

Reto, I think you are missing Pasi Waisenen (sp?) speed run beating Martin about a month later in Sweden with 12.68 seconds http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=886985

Smokin' runs both martin's 12.93, and a month later Pasi's 12.68!

Best time for a woman I know of was Michell Goodrum 2009 F3B WC 14.20!

Cheers
