I took these videos and pictures yesterday (Friday June 11) at the Berlin ILA 2010 airshow.

great pics herb--whats the story on the 109 and 262? Are they flugwerk birds?

Thanks :)

Not sure about the origins of the Me-262 and Bf-109G.

They are both owned by the German Messerschmitt foundation, but I think the Me-262 was originally one (of two or three) assembled in the US and using P&W J85 modern jet engines. One was later sold to the above foundation.

The Me-262 in my Berlin Airshow photos has the same registration number as the one in the wikipedia picture (501244).

I believe when you are referrring to the Flugwerk project, it is a separate German FW-190A project ...

Unfortunately I did not see any FW-190 at the ILA Berlin airshow.

Nice video, I would have loved to see the Me-262 fly but enjoyed the "109",too bad they didn't have a Me-163:)I think I saw a glimpse of a Ju-52 toward the end of the video, could that be?

Yes, there was a Junkers Ju-52 parked on the tarmac. It flew later and I have a short video clip of it.

The Ju-52 was very popular with visitors, with a ladder you could go inside.

But the sound of the Me-109 and P-51 was utterly impressive :D
