The Haoye 4"/100mm fan is ok and cheap, but it requires some mods.

The center motor mount is flimsy, cut a reinforcement from 1/8" or 3mm birch plywood and glue it in with JB Weld and it holds up a lot better.

Balance the rotor, I've got my latest running pretty smooth, even with a spinner this time.

The motor tube is 48.5mm across or close to that. Finding an outrunner that fits WITHOUT mods to widen the motor tube is difficult. Depending on how much power you want, you can use a smaller motor and not have to widen the motor tube.

A Kontronic Tango 45-08 800kv on 10S pulls about 60 amps and 2000 watts. It runs a bit hot but I never demagged it. The problem here is it's a 350 dollar motor AND for the money you've be better off buying a Neu 1515 2.5y and run it on 10-12s (90 amps on 12S for 3700 watts). The neu is about 80 bucks or so cheaper.

I'm now running a Turnigy 4258 800kv outrunner on 10S 5000. 63 amps 2250 watts HOC. Motor temps after 5 minuts are 205 degrees on one section of the windings. I didn't smoke the motor yet in 2 flights, but I did a 2 minute after flight run at low throttle. I don't know if this will hold up long term, I'd rather have a motor with more mass.

If you're willing so sand material away from the inside of the motor tube there are other outrunners that will work.

Here's a thread with more info:
