Epoch 1M: Builder or Legal Depth of Keel

Anyone remember the name of the owner of "Climate Boat Works" in Barrie Ontario, Canada ? I have a Epoch 1M kit from him from a number of years ago and it is missing the aluminum plate keel. I can tell its width (2", its thickness 3/16, but not its length. Anyone know either:
- the name of the owner ?
- the actual length of the plate (goes through lead bulb and up into the full height of the hull it looks like.
- any maximum depth of the lead bulb in the 1M rules from either bottom of boat or water line ?

Is that an IOM or US1M?

Maximum draught for IOMs is 420mm (minimum 360 mm).

And if the Epoch is a US1M...

And max length of the keel foil and bulb, measured from the bottom of the hull to the bottom of the bulb is 14.25" on the US1M.

"Climate", (Peter something) http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=6198 , is still listed as a member here. You may be able to contect him via a pm.

Thanks for the info. Climate is not receiving PMs.

Here's a link to a short description. I am guessing this is an IOM

Worst comes to worst I will just make a foil to fit the IOM rule.

Thanks again!

It was an IOM, one of the few commercial boats ready to sail. Btw, that aluminium fin looks a weak point in the design, if as it appears, it was a flat plate type.
This link is a bit more informative: http://www.rcsailing.net/forum1/show...-IOM-compliant

Thanks you guys. His name was Peter Richards according to his sail supplier. No sign of him in Barrie. So I will just make a keel fin based on the rule.
