Cool, wasn't sure where you are in this crazy hobby. I too live in Canada.

I just posted that info so that you were aware of what can be ordered from Hobbyking/china. The freight, time and duty are really not an issue in my $1000 and 5 orders from them.

Don't know what a 300 is but totally looks like a Yak. Hobbyking also has a "woody" yak54. Did you check out the other two links?

It's not a Yak 54, it's an Extreme Flight Extra 300 EXP:

According to many pilots, THE best flying plane out there- size doesn't matter, it can do everything ;)

A yak 54 looks like this:

Thanks extreme.

Good thing they made the wing tips different.

I do believe that a movie was made about how the americans "stole" the most impressive jet ever from the Canadians. Is this proof in point. Rotflmao.

Question, just because I'm too lazy and ... Is the Yak not of Russian design?

Yak is Russian, Extra is German.

Which one was made first?

I think the original mid wing, 2 seat Extra 300 came before the Yak-54, but both companies have earlier models.

Why do you want to go to canada to buy that plane?
The splinternet will get it to you pretty fast.

It definitely is one nice flying bird. Weather you call it a Yak or Extra. It pretty much looks the same to me.

For me though, I have to slow the rates waaay down, as I can't keep up to it.

so anyone know where to get one?
