My new R1/Dynamax Fan -- T-38 and Foremost 150

6 Attachment(s)
So about a year ago I did some horse trading with Clay and I said I wanted one of his fans but I was in NO hurry for it, so Last Friday First of the year, Clay delivered the fan. I took a day off of work to work on some planes, so here are pictures, mostly for Clay, but all of you to be bored.

Since I moved to AZ 6 years ago from Cali, I mostly had given up flying except for some foamies and small stuff, but since TEAM event last December, I think I am back in the action. So I will start with the Foremost and T-38

So there are some people all over that have done the Foremost in Turbine and some EDF's and this one should be no different. There are a lot of debates as to if it should be modified or not, so I will make some minor changes, mostly because I need to trim/change/cut the engine mounts so I started cutting today.

After a while I started seeing double!!!!!!! I will have the one with the R1/Dynamax done first but Darth Vader still calls. "Come back to the Dark side" the second will have a Super Bee 14lb. Turbine.

T-38

Bob,

I got two of them, a Bob Fiorenze and an Air Magic. The one in the pictures is the Air Magic. I used the fly the white one with Yellow trim that was on their website and literature (Hey wait, I used to do their Website :) )

BTW the guys on the Dark side created a modification list, like I said for our purpose it might be overkill, but I do like the former/wing tube modification.

Here is a copy of the mods as done/provided by Rich miller.

I remember Air Magic T-38. How does the Bob Fiorenze look? I'm looking for a jet for my XPS Dynamax fan.

man, i love T-38's. always wanted a fiorenze T-38. those things are SICK. too bad i cant make AEF....theres going to be alot of good stuff this year it looks like.

You will be surprised what powers the T-38. The Dynamax will not fit in the T-38 (just too big) so something different is being made. I do not think I can get it done in time for AEF and get it test flown.

The Air Magic T-38 molds can be bought. A guy in California has them along with the F-15 molds.

And the winner is CN

As much as I want a Dynamax, the Vio fan is the only thing that will fit and can handlethe power that is planned for this bird, (do not trust the Hoaye fan under big power. Even though I have built a special 4.5 Hoaye that gives 9 lbs at 65 amps).

I thought about using an Big Screamer, (how ironic that would be) but Ralph has warned me about the litlle wings and the loading. (in this caset he weight becomes critical. I have a second Vio so maybe that will be next.

So it will have an out runner out he back, Scorpion or Hyperion (depends who has it in stock)

If interested I can start a thread about the build.

Really? Any contact info?

I have a George Miller T-38, which is a bit bigger than the Fiorenze version. The T-38 is my all time favorite aircraft.
