Special Features
Optimized operating software B6AC+ features the so-called AUTO function that set the feeding current during the process of charging or discharging. Especially for Lithium batteries, it can prevent the overcharging which may lead to an explosion due to the user's fault. It can disconnect the circuit automatically and alarm once detecting any malfunction. All the programs of this product were controlled through two way linkage and communication, to achieve the maximum safety and minimize the trouble. All the settings can be configured by users!

Internal independent lithium battery balancer
B6AC+ employs an individual-cell-voltage balancer. It isn t necessary to connect an external balancer for balance charging.

Balancing individual cells battery discharging
During the process of discharging, B6AC+ can monitor and balance each cell of the battery individually. Error message will be indicated and the process will be ended automatically if the voltage of any single one cell is abnormal.

Adaptable to various type of lithium battery
B6AC+ is adaptable to various types of Lithium batteries, such as Li-ion, LiPo and the new LiFe series of batteries.

Fast and storage mode of lithium battery
Purposes to charge Lithium battery varies, fast charge reduce the duration of charging whereas store state can control the final voltage of your battery, so as to store for a long time and protect useful time of the battery.

Maximum safety
Delta-peak sensitivity: The automatic charge termination program based on the principle of the Delta-peak voltage detection. When the battery's voltage exceeds the threshold, the process will be terminated automatically.

Automatic charging current limit
You can set up the upper limit of the charging current when charging your NiCd or NiMH battery; it is useful for the NiMH battery of low impedance and capacity in the 'AUTO' charging mode.

Capacity limit
The charging capacity is always calculated as the charging current multiplied by time. If the charging capacity exceeds the limit, the process will be terminated automatically when you set the maximum value.

Temperature threshold*
The batterys internal chemical reaction will cause the temperature of the battery to rise. If the temperature limit is reached, the process will be terminated.
*This function is available by connecting optional temperature probe, which is not included in our package.

Processing time limit:
You can also limit the maximum process time to avoid any possible defect.

Input power monitoring
To protect the car battery used as DC input power from being damaged, its voltage keeps being monitored. If it drops below the lower limit, the process will be ended automatically.

Data store/load
The maximum five batteriesdata can be stored for usersconvenience. You can keep the data pertaining to program setting of the battery of continuous charging or discharging. Users can call out these data at any time without any special program setting.

Cyclic charging/discharging
1 to 5 cyclic and continuous process of charge>discharge or discharge>charge is operable for battery refreshing and Balancing to stimulate the batterys activity.

What is the difference between this Charger and the Thunder AC6, other than it being 5 dollars more expensive.... they look exactly identical.

#3 hobbypartz Oct 14, 2009 05:03 PM

The SkyCharger's software is more advance, basically having more features. The factory engineers behind this charger is very pro and it also comes with a temperature sensor device that the AC6 doesnt include.

I just noticed that the Balance plugs are embedded also..... thats a huge plus!

will Hobbyparts.com be offering the optional balance tabs aswell? I dont see them on the site?

If it has more safety features plus an added internal fan then this unit is well worth the extra 5 dollars..... Im sold!

I now have both the thunder ac6 and the sky charger 6ac, they have the exact same alluminum case, different rubber feet, different buttons- thunder is easier to click, same display but the thunder is brighter, I like the built in balance ports on the sky charger. I didn't notice the sky charger having a internal fan though, I'm going to take it apart and do a youtube thing on the comparison of the two. All in all, these charger are great for what you are paying for them, not the highest charge rates, both are 5amp max, but it does the trick on every battery I have tried to charge yet.

Ok I made a short little video on the insides of the two chargers and sorry hobbypartz but there is no internal fan, I don't think it needs one anyway, it never gets hot for me, and I charge a 2 cell lipo at 5amps that has a 5000mah capacity. I can't speak for any lipo's over 2 cells. But I love these things for the money. Also I put a plug in for www.hobbypartz.com in at the end of my video they ship things out quick and I haven't had any issues with there products.

USB interface

My charger does not allow me to enable the USB interface. How do I use the USB interface with a computer?

Pictures at bottom of your site say temp probe is included, but above there's red text sayin "your" version does not include a temp probe?

Do you know what max watts are on the sky? I know you say 5A, but at 6S 4900mah, that's over 110Watts. Most cheap chargers max at 50Watts. If this is 100W or more like the turnigy accucel-8, I'd grab it in a heartbeat! :-)

I know the sky doesn't say but I'll assume its the same as the thunder, and thats 50w. I have seen some of the cheep chargers as high as 200w at the hobby king but you have to deal with china shipping. I can't speak for 6s so maybe someone else can help here.
