you seem to be in contact. Maybe you know: Is there a timeline as to when an adequate support for the GMFC Hard and Software will be available. Best regards Ewald Harms |

Hi , I have also run into the error: "GMFC Initialization problem". Installing GMFC Pro 4.06 on a fresh Win10 installation seems to work fine. On a different PC with an Win10 Installation I also get the error. According to WinDbg on this system it runs into an access violation in the cnc1.dll. Running it on a 32bit WIN 10 also seems to work. I also tried installing it in a Win11 64bit in a virtual maschine - no problem. Strange problem. Best regards Ewald |

I am not so sure when this started but quite some time ago. This is for my Desktop versions of Pro and Expert not for cutting just design or helping someone out. The shop is still on Win XP and it works just fine but with a GGC. I think this happened after I upgraded to Win 11 from Win 10. Both versions the Splash Screen loads the a pop up win, error GMFC Initialization problem.. If I click OK, it unloads and we go again. So pretty sure it's either a Win11 driver change issue or GMFC needs to be updated for Win 11. I think I tried to reinstall as well, not sure about that. Has not been a problem but it shouldn't be happening. |

danielphantom | Can you go back to an earlier version of windows? Using system restore or possibly another method? I'm no expert, I still have windows 10 and haven't gone to 11. | |

I don't use alot this forum, nor I am an active publisher. but this time I have to. Just tried to start GMFC expert after long time. I had it installed on Win10. Unfortunately the application doesn't run anymore. Tried with AV disabled, driver signature disabled, safe mode.... nothing helps. Feeling disappointed, unfortunately Giles passed away and nobody seams to truly maintain this application. It would be great to open source it. A lot of people will for sure contribute to improve it. |

Last time he was here was April 2022. I emailed and PMed him many times, more than a year ago... nothing. Somebody with too much money bought the rights from Gilles before he died and destroyed Gilles his lifework. Hope Paul realizes this and sells it to someone that can go on with Gilles his work. GJ |

Just email Paul with the GMFC code and he will issue you a license. He has a real day job so it will be fast or might take a while. Dan |
