Just wanted to take a minute to post a couple pictures of the room we will be using for the build party. This room has been about a 14 month project for my family and my kids and I have done the work. 70-80% of the work was done by my kids and I am very proud of them. The room is about 48' X 30' so there is plenty of room for building visiting and telling war stories. Once the christmas trees are put away we may want to do some indoor pylon racing. Anyway just wanted to share.

Finally got a USB cable to let me use my DX6i to run a flight sim. Reflex XRT came with the cable and they have a combat wing model. I probably spent 3 hours last night crashing until I ran out a set of batteries on my transmitter. I am up to about 1.5 to 2 min of flight time before I crash it now. That's a lot better than the 3-5 seconds I was getting when I first started. Time to get this set up on a computer at home for my kids to practice on.

I should have started this in the spring instead of now when it's gotten cold but Oh Well!!!

Here is my first scratch built creation. It is called a Campaign Flier and is built from 18" X 24" Election Campaign signs, hence the name. Hoping to get it up in the air soon.

Ok, All

I figured I would take a minute to post and introduce myself. I have had a love of flying for as long as I could remember. That love took me to the Utah National Guard where I was an AH-1 Cobra Helicopter Mechanic. I later moved into the aircraft becoming a CoPilot Navigator on OH-58 observation helicopters. About that time I also got my Federal Airframe and Powerplant license. I soon found out that you can't make a living wrenching on planes at the local FBO. Moved from the Army Guard to the Airguard where I spent a lot of time in the back of C-130's. I joined this group in 2006 and will have my first planes ready to fly this weekend. Hope to be spending lots of time flying and enjoying the UFO friendship.
