Building a Goldberg Falcon 56 from scratch .
Purchased a framed up Falcon 56 and was going to finish it, but decided it would be easier to scratch build one . I have plans and a N.I.B. kit so I zeroxed the kit's balsa pieces and am cutting out new parts . Building another kit, sort of . But putting in lots of updates like steerable nose gear, an O.S. .25FSR w/pipe, ailerons , nonremovable empennage , etc. Having to engineer the firewall area, which is pretty small, and getting everything to fit without interference is challanging . But that's what you do when you have fifty years of modelling experience . Sure beats buying an ARF, shaking the box and out comes something that might have been built safe and strong and light . Or was it ?
As the project progresses I'll post some pics .

just trying things out
Can't wait until i can start building again .

This plane duplicates one that I built in the 70's except I used an OS .15 back then . What a great funflyer and an even better trainer .
More to come in the near future !

Great flying airplanes ! I tend to build light due to sanding, no excess glue . And I undercamber the airfoil . Real floaters ! -
