Finally got some san marzano tomato puree.. eventually i'll get san marzano tomato's but there difficult to find around here and imported from italy. Made some quick pizzas to test the sauce, sauce is tomato puree, fresh garlic, fresh oregano, fresh basil and some sugar and salt. The fresh herbs really infuse there flavor well after leaving the sauce sit a day in the fridge and has an even richer flavor. I rarely make pizzas the same way, sometimes i use a roller for the dough sometimes not, some times more toppings sometimes less etc. Made three quick pizzas, one in a cast iron pan, another thin on the pizza stone and the last with a thicker crust and a lot more cheese.. really have to mix pizza up and try different methods but i like a lot of different pizza styles. Next time will probally be naples style pizza on the grill with fresh mozzarella instead of the dry skim mozzarella and parmesan but pizza is about trying different styles and toppings for me.

Went back to the techone motor,a bit heavier and more power but suits my type of flying overall and a bit more fun for me to fly the piaget like that outdoors at 7.9oz auw.

Its epp and not a edf, really wanted to find the breaking point or any point of failure in the air. The plane calls for 8-9g servos and im using 6g servos i already had. The 6g servos are fine for slow floaty flying but limited when flying this plane like a jet . Had fun flying and even after the plane hit the ground violently and had some minor damage for the impact it took. I put another pack in and took off again to see how much more it could take and if it could continue to fly reasonably well with some minor wounds . The wing did bend but the spar wasnt cracked and the carbon strips inside the wing were only flexing after separating from the wing skin and the spar.

More and more the movie industry as well as television is using radio controlled vehicles to get shots for movies and tv commercials. For decades now rc cars and aircraft have been used in movies, blue thunder, top gun, empire of the sun,the dead pool, poltergeist etc. Sometimes its just a scene depicting someone enjoying the hobby and other times its to recreate carnage of fullscale aircraft. For the most part rc cars have always been the stable at hobby shops for sales, the rc car company's are also leading the charge to grow the hobby and show it to the mainstream.. Did you know that you can walk into a pep boys auto parts store and they have traxxas rtr vehicles and parts for sale? Thats a huge step for the hobby right there.. what gearhead going for car or truck parts to soup up there fullscale vehicle could resist a radio controlled beast of a revo or a slash stadium truck thats on display near the entrance? Now I enjoy rc cars a lot but I also enjoy flying planes and helis.. many have already made the connection to start a redbull style air race competition for years now with rc planes and its finally in the works(many here have been saying it would be cool for years myself included). Its a start but what could rc plane and heli manufacturers do to gain more exposure for the hobby with the masses and get more people involved with rc planes and helis?. Why not get more rc involved with fullscale events.. Did you know that many fullscale monster truck events have halftime shows with rc cars? Now is not the time to stop thinking of the future of the hobby..especially the aircraft side in the next 5 years. Remember.. the best thing many can do for the hobby is take the time to answer questions and steer people in the right direction if there interested in getting involved in any form of rc.

Havent flown this plane once yet in calm air but it handles minor breezes ok for a really light 6oz indoor plane(maybe one day i'll be able fly indoors some place). In 10+mph gusts its a handful but flyable outdoors, dorked it a couple times in the yard the other day.. its no epp plane but a little ca and it was back flying(dam wind..hit the garage after dodging the tree and myself when i got in trouble when the wind turned to gusts). Got the turnigy motor and hobbyking esc in it with hoppypartz 2s 500mah 20c packs and its 6.1oz,6.6 with the lights now. Very nice inexpensive power set up for small planes like this(motor, esc, and 2s 500 lipo all for under $20.00). Probally try the power system in the piaget soon to.. should be low 7oz range and power it ok.. will have to see,at 6.6oz in the extra power was enough but not excessive,1 oz is a lot of weight for planes in the 6 oz range, very noticable difference flying the extra with the light kit and its only 15 grams for the lights compared to how it flew without the lights on it at 6.1oz with the new motor and gear.

Weathers getting a lot nicer but still a little breezy for small planes. Was nice to get some air with the cars. Flew a couple planes with the hobbypartz blue lipos.. they rock and the prices are awesome, got a new charger to from them. Lipos were packaged VERY well and i'll be ordering more from hobbypartz.com soon. Got the thunder ac6 charger and some 2s 500mah 20c and some 3s 1000mah 20c packs for the rainbow and piaget, tryed the 2s 500 packs in the electrifly 330sc in the yard.. lotts more power than the 2s 430's i was running before and a quarter of the price . At 6.6oz auw using the 500mah blue lipos the plane got knocked around a lot in the yard with the wind but was fun to get some yard flying in.

Flys nice, lightest plane ive ever flown but will probally only be flown outdoors. Was well within the spec weight even with heavier than suggested gear but i have some different power set ups to try as well that should make it about 6oz or less. Really like the futaba 3114 servo for planes like this, might get a couple more for other projects.

Been thinking about trying jets for quite a while, been interested in a few.. the parkzone habu would be simple and fun, been looking at the hobby-lobby eurofighter.. its bigger and it has all the bells and whistles already installed like bump absorbing style retracts and nav lights.. would make for a cool camera plane as well. Way back i was looking at the flyfly hobby jets to.. especially the big bae hawk and the mb 339,heres a couple vids i really like from flyflyhobbys youtube page .

Now this one looks like fun!
MB339 (3 min 17 sec)

The hawk would rock with nav lights and a onboard camera as well.
