Got a couple flights on the vyper today,made some changes to get it more to my liking for 3d and messed around low a little,does pattern type flying great and thats what i did with it mostly on the first couple flights earlier this week. The torque 2814-820 is going in it tonight and if the weathers any better than the first couple times flying i should be able to really get a feel for it overall. The right aileron servo has seen better days and effects the slow low flying quite a bit but some new gears will get that sorted out. Someone made the comment that i should land the piaget in the truck . Well we'll see if i did in the video .

Picked this car up used a couple weeks ago,needed some work but got it at a really good price so didnt mind going over it and replacing some small parts. Ran it nitro ONCE.. Since late last year when i was at the track and seen the 8th scale electric buggys run ive wanted one. I finally have one now . Lots of power,quiet,no tuning for temps etc.. just put the pack in and go,might upgrade the gear to a truggy as well. The mamba monster system was well worth the money.. versitile and can run on plenty of cell counts.. even on 4s it has tons of power. Got the gear yesterday and redid the car brushless and took it out for a quick test spin (theres some video of my brushless slash in there to) .

Put the vyper together and flew it the next day,im off but the areas where i usually fly people are working and its busy with traffic etc and its a pain dodging cars or looking over your shoulder all the time and trying to fly a plane. Really wanted to get some stick time on the vyper so took it out and looked for someplace to fly.. ended up at the cornfield(usually just cars to deal with there during the week). It cuts lines like the aspera but can 3d as well,it was bit windy,i was a bit tired and not feeling well.. 3 hours sleep maybe on top of everything else but my zippys being delievered were worth waking up early . Still dialing it in,really liked its pattern qaulitys though and will try more 3d moves next time out with it.

Got a little flying in,no bbq though . My vyper should get here later today so that will make up for the lack of bbq . Man i wish i had some bbq now,i might have to go to famous daves after the vyper gets here,i could go for some brisket,ribs,and pulled pork,bbq rocks. If i did covering id make a bbq plane,hooters rocks and they have bbq.. a bbq hooters plane. Bbq and babes rock. I better take some meat out of the freezer for later today.. then i can assemble my vyper and have bbq without leaving. Wish i had some bbq now,i have to start freezing bbq food so i can just throw it in the microwave.. fresh bbq is best though. Ok im gonna make something to eat.. it wont be bbq though . Maybe if i watch bbq on youtube while i eat some vile non bbq my stomach wont know the differance? Would be cool to sell my house and buy a field and have a bbq shack at the field,if i ran the ama all flying fields would require onsite bbq.. if there was no bbq on hand no one could fly until there was bbq ready to serve. Id probally fly at ama fields a lot if they had bbq .

Picked this one up used,good price and it had some upgrades. It was a losi eight rtr(just the buggy). Wanted one of these for quite a while.. and wanted a brushless 8th scale buggy or truggy for quite some time to. I threw a nitro motor in it just to run it this weekend and i'll drop a brushless in it soon hopefully.. should be a lot of fun. Doesnt need to much work and its in relativly good shape overall,started it up a little while ago ,the smell and sound of nitro is good . The pipe that came with it keeps that big motor fairly quiet.. even revving it in the laundry room .

Flew pretty well even being a bit tail heavy with such a light set up,a pull pull on the elevator will take care of that for neutral cg with the 4s 2200 pack,could get it even lighter with some mods and different gear. The rudder cables were a bit loose and showed in flight.. got those tightend up for next weekend. Power was plenty for slow floaty 3d for me. As airframes get bigger and lighter and power systems get more powerful and lighter cg becomes an issue for some.. Theres many ways around this but i dont suggest duplicating them if your not comfortable with a plane or set up,really light set ups and highly powered ballistic set ups are not for everyone but there fun to try out . If consumers,designers,manufacturers become complacent.. technology and airframe design will stagnate.

Dreary rainy day out here but i was determined to have some fun and fly for a bit,Put both planes into the ground about 5 minutes apart.. some days dont go to well but the big foamie was fun and i might repair it. The slicck is a paper weight.. quite a bit of work to repair it and i'll order a vyper to replace it.. the slick was a lot of fun.

Had fun today,even with a really close call with the edge.. it almost bit the dirt kamikaze style. Tryed a couple different things with the edge and the slick,after that i played the weed game.. I use to play this with my typhoon 3d but the slick isnt z-foam so im a bit more careful with the slick and dont dive into the weeds then pull up . Its always a good day when the planes come back not needing repair or changing set ups so i fired up the grill and threw on some skirt steak,flank steak and chicken.. made fresh salsa yesterday to.. the good stuff(cilantro,broiled tomatoes,onion,jalapeno,lime.. and just enough salt) . Flying And Grillin Rock!

Went to the local shop to pick up some smaller pinion gears for the brushless set up i installed on the slash. They had a mini e-revo there and did a demo out back.. if your a rc car guy or gal you gotta see this,its like a mini savage flux on steroids .

Its my first brushless set up in one,been doing the brushless thing with planes and helis a few years now but wish they had brushless and lipos decades ago when i was racing them . Got it repaired . Its never fun though having a plane go down when the battery ejects and theres nothing you can do to try and save it,after the repair i changed power set ups to,went to a lighter set up and auw is 4lbs with a zippy flightmax 4s 20c 3000 pack and the torque 2814-720 with a apc 14x7 for over 800 watts. Gonna fly it later today if the weather agrees.
