Well,
I must say. It's been a while since I blogged anything. I've treated this blog in the past like a diary and just punched in my thoughts as they popped into my head. Now that it's been a while, I realize when looking at some of my other blogs, that people actually look at it.. Holy Cow!..
But, back to the topic... F-22 twin EDF kit by Hayoye and my fortune as a part time journalist... I am blessed and grateful for both these things which really have nothing to do with each other. The F-22 was a kit with no directions that I picked up at SEFF. I went to a lot of trouble to put it together and it was so badly damaged from the takeoff attempts that it was not worth trying to repair... a first for me for sure.. It looked great, sounded great, taxied and steered around the pavement really well... it just would'nt take to the air.. LOL...I'll enclose a few of the build pics... And before anyone asks questions, yes there was an exploded parts diagram with a "CG" mark on it... but the mark was so huge it was hard to tell where it should have been exactly... the plane was not identical to the drawing which presented another problem... maybe the whole thing was nose heavy... I did move the rear wheels forward for the second attempt which did result in lift off and an immediate loop at full speed 8 feet high back onto it's nose... done..
The gratefull part of that is that it was just some foam and some time.. No equipment that was in it was damaged and...Continue Reading
