Video of the Galloping Ghose P-51 RC Pylon Racer at Warbirds over Oberhausen. Turn up the volume on this one.

The sound gave me an adrenaline rush. Quick, need to run out and find a P-51 model....

The short answer is to use your elevator and throttle to establish slow flight before you turn to final approach, then use the throttle to control your rate of descent on final.

It helps a lot to have a good approach - fly like a real plane doing a downwind, base and final leg, with the goal of having the plane lined up about center of the field when turning onto the final approach.

Open Search Plugin for RC Groups

I created a RCGroups Open Search plugin (should work with all modern browsers). This plugin uses a google search as I've found it generates better results.

Just go to this page and click on the phrase 'RC Groups' in the results.
