I first started construction of this plane back in 2003, but I've had lots of interest in it and never maintained a dedicated web page for it. I think posting it here will be the best, it can stay up and I don't have to worry about bandwidth and maintaining a web site.

I will be showing my scratch build of the Royal Corsair from Royal plans, I did use a stock aluminum cowl I picked up on Ebay, but that is all. I used Light Ply throughout in place of the much heavier kit supplied ply, I did beef up the main spar with carbon fiber.

I give Earl Aune credit for the tail wheel design, that is one of the biggest features of this plane, especially for it's smaller size. You never see operable tail hooks even on the total prefab giant CARF Corsairs! Earl's tail wheel was designed for an 80" Corsair, but I just made everything smaller. I'll cover the construction in detail of the tail wheel as well.

I'll post a picture of the plans to get the ball rolling, and I'll update this Blog as I have time. I hope that I can help others out with this blog, and if one person finds it useful it will be worth my time.
