I've been working on a custom design DDVP tail. I'm not done with it yet but once she's done it will be the real Super FP. Here are a couple of work in progress pictures. Almost all tail parts are custom made except for the slider assembly including vertical tail fin and all cut by hand using only a dremel and a heavy duty cutting disc.
The tail shaft needs an eclip on it but the problem is im unable to make a groove in the shaft due to limited skill and equipment, the shaft will not stay put with the pitch arm sliding around hard.
In the mean time, here are some videos I made recently to show a friend when she has the usual brushless DD tail (no variable pitch). She's running full separate with brushless main and spektrum DX7 system. Take note of the tail bouncing issue, that's common for a dd tail without a variable pitch, it will not happen with a ddvp tail. Excuse my flying skill, still learning, these are some of my very first successful piros.
This is a not a for sale thread or development of a product, just another hobby project of mine that i wanted to share.
