Finished the covering on the Wanderer this evening. Looks much better than it did. Took awhile to carve a nose for it from a 2x4, but I think it turned out fine. With any luck, I will get it out to fly it tomorrow.

My buddy showed up with a glider Saturday to give me. It was in rough shape to say the least. He had covered it, then a few years later decided to paint over the covering It had about a 1/2 gallon of epoxy all over it, a card-board nose cone, and some paper towels glued to it in place of some of the covering.

I Stripped it down, did some repairs and recovered it. Its almost done now, and it weighs a lot less. Should fly pretty well.

I might make a removeable nose so I can put a motor on it too in case I cant figure out what the heck "lift" is! (this is my first glider). Anyway, here it is.

Here it is done. The maiden went great. Very smooth flying plane. Just needs a bigger prop and a 4S.

Here is a link to the video of the maiden flight. Flew it on a 12x8 and a 3S. I will be switching it out for 4S and a 14x7ish prop.
