As you may have already heard, we had a problem with our recording of show 196 last evening (thanks to Microsoft turning Skype into, well, a typical Microsoft product). Since we discussed quite a few cool things, I just hated to NOT put a product out this week. That being said, this show is my attempt at a "redo" of some of what we discussed last night.
In this 195th installment of our show, we finally got around to doing something we've wanted to do for a LONG time - we streamed this show LIVE! Special thanks goes out to my co-host, Karl, for helping get this junk figured out. We didn't really publicize this, though some friends on Facebook helped to get the message out. We had a few folks listen in and the report back was that everything worked just fine (Thanks go to Vintauri, Hance, MetroGTI, Cloudsplitter, PCPhil, RCPtero, and you other guys that provided feedback for this test).
We talked about the usual things we normally cover - some new stuff, some videos, and other cools things we found that pertain to this great RC hobby.
In this, our 194th show, the whole gang is together to share all kinds of RC goodness with you! We've got Multi-Rotor talk, new items we've found, we answer some letters, and if you can tolerate it, we get a bit silly in this one, too.
Join Tim, Karl, and ol' Crash for this 193rd installment of the show where we talk a bit about some BIG planes, Open Source Radio Systems and hacks, some nice looking knock-off planes, and my new Quad project that I'll be starting soon. The name for this week's show is in relation to the special event that Karl got to help out with, so you'll want to hear this story. Also, after some goading from some regular listeners, we do a real "first" for the show and get into a bit of a Second Amendment discussion (don't worry, we don't plan on doing this again anytime soon LoL).
This week's show and links
Happy New Year! Show number 192 marks our first for 2013, and the beginning our our fifth season doing the RC podcast thing. This week, we've got Karl and Navionflyer sharing what we've been up to over the holiday break. Also, we're back with some more great news and links to some nifty-looking products that have captured our attention as of late.
As you may already know, last week's "Dear Santa" show went long, so we kept the tape rolling and we put together this "Year In Review" for you guys this week! In this 191st installment of our show (and our last for 2012) join me, Tim, Hance, and Dougbo for a short review of all of the goodness that this year has had to offer!
Thanks to all of you that have made this year so much fun, from our supporters and prize sponsors, to listeners and all you folks that make this hobby the greatest in the world!
May God bless each and every one of you this CHRISTmas, and may 2013 bring tons of RC building and flying for all!!
Wow! CHRISTmas has already rolled around again? Didn't we just celebrate it like 11 months ago??
This week, in our 190th installment, IFLYOS and I are treated to a couple of guests in the workshop - Hance and DougBo!! There's some news on the hobby front, and a couple of new items we've found to discuss, and when we get that stuff out of the way, we share a few listener's Dear Santa letters along with what WE would like to receive.
Hance held a little contest over at the RC Pilots Association Facebook Page and announced a WINNER of one of his Edge 540 or YAK 55 foamie kit, but you guys will have to wait until next week to find out who won.
In this week's 189th installment, NavionFlyer and I get to visit with Mark and Trish Carew, makers of those famous PhlatPrinter machines that we all know and love. They spend some time cluing us in on all they've been up to lately, including the OpenRail linear motion system and the new OpenBuilds site where we will be able to build and share our best home-built machines that help us to enjoy our RC hobby to it's fullest!
REMINDER - Next week will be our last show of the year, so if you want to send us your "Dear Santa" letter, we'd really enjoy sharing it on the show when we share what all WE want.
Isn't it funny how we start off by saying we really don't have much to go over for the week, but yet we still are about to occupy 90 minutes worth of your time? Well, that's the case with this 188th installment of our show, LoL Join us for some more all-over-the-board discussion (as seems to be our norm these days).
A special THANK YOU! goes out to our supportive listener base this week, as you guys have come to our aid with your donations by helping pay for our web fees for 2013!!
After a very late night, I am finally getting around to writing the description and links for this 187th installment of our show. LoL
We talked about all kinds of stuff in this one, and we have TONS of links for you to peruse, including our "Spotlight Vendor" this week, AfterDarkLED - your source for premium lighting solutions for all of your RC needs!
Hey, it's that time of year where we will accept your "Dear Santa" Letters. This is a perfect time for you to hint at what you REALLY want for CHRISTmas from that significant other. Drop me a line and I'll share your wishes on an upcoming show!!
We've got a TON of links this week - check them out HERE
Yes, true to ourselves, we get a little off-topic again in this 186th installment of our show. Nonetheless, we get back on topic after a brief hiatus. This week it's me, Tim, and Navionflyer along with a specials guest - Chris Klick of RiteWing fame! Chris tells us wht all he's been up to, including the new injection-moulded Zephyrs and FPV. Also, RiteWingRC is our "Spotlight Vendor" this week, qualifying with great products, great customer support, and it's an American-based company, to boot!
For this, our 185th show, we've got a full house. Karl is away, but we have Steve "Vintauri" Mills warming his seat! Steve got a chance to do some interesting stuff last weekend and he tells us all about his action-packed weekend. Oh, yeah, there's also some letters and websites, and junk.
Be sure to check out our "Spotlight Sponsor" this week - LazerToyz!
Our links and show for this week can be found HERE

Well, we got a little goofy last night, hence the name of the show. Yep, we were being quite sophomoric. LoL Anyhow, join us in this 184th installment of our show where the whole gang is present and we do our usual thing.
We are back again this week, but Tim is MIA. No worries, though, as Hance has popped on to take his place for our 183rd show. There's not been a whole lot going on in the workshop lately, but I did get a chance to fly a great little plane that Hance sent (along with another interesting item LoL) and it was quite the handful! Join us for some news on some new offerings as well as some of your letters and links.
In this, our 182nd installment, the whole crew is in the workshop discussing this and that in the RC world. We talk about some new products and discuss a couple of letters received, but the main topic this week is my synopsis of MY experiences of HHAEFI 2012. If you ever get a chance to attend this event at Hodges Field every October, you've just GOT to attend! In summation, it's like a "kinder, gentler SEFF". LoL
I would like to express my heartfelt THANKS to all of the people that took the time to wish me a Happy Birthday on the 14th, whether through email (David The Swarfer), Skype (David D.), Facebook (WAAAAY too many to list), and at Hodges (the Stahr family, the Georgia Crew, and the rest of you great folks). This was one of the greatest b-day experiences ever and you guys all ROCK!!
Well, not a very interesting title this week, but it get's it done. LoL We've got the full gang together this week and we discuss some updates, read a few listener emails, Karl shares some Heli tips, and more of our usual nonsense. Hey - it looks like I am going to HHAEFI!! I hope to see you there!!
It's me and the two Tims this week for our 180th episode, and we catch up on all that we've been up to since our last visit, as well as share a few things we've discovered in the hobby during the last week. We also tackle a subject we've never really talked about - setting up a new-pilot training program at your club (thanks to Doug for writing in on this!).
Quads Across America? Well, maybe not, but it doesn't hurt to try, right? LoL Join us in this 179th installment of our show where we get the opportunity to visit with one of the greatest promoters of our hobby in MY lifetime - Mr. Frank "Murocflyer" Geisler! We get a little background on Frank by exploring how it all started for him and discussing his epic Wings Across America project before getting into his latest endeavor of promoting BUILDING your own planes with his new "Model Airplane Building Clinic" over at RCG. This is a show you won't want to miss!
Okay, okay, that is actually a direct quote from our special guest this week. LoL Please take no offense, as ol' Crash actually uses expo these days to smooth out some of the shakes. Join us this week for our 178th installment of our little show where we share a scant bit of news, read some great letters sent in from our listeners, and visit with a long-time listener and friend of the show, Mr. Hance Andreason!
We had way too much fun recording this one, and I kinda wished I had left the recorder ON for the post-show discussion. That prolly would have got us all into some trouble, though.
