This week we actually have a guest on the show. Patrick Fox had an opportunity to attend the inaugural F3Expo and he met with us to share his impression of this new, and hopefully annual event. Oh, and if you've never had the opportunity to see 'Fainting Goats" in person, JUST DO IT! LoL
This week we get to dip into the mail bag again and share listener emails! Oh, and there's also some discussion on what everyone is planning for personal transport for SEFF next year (and other big events that we may attend). Hit the links below for a lot of interesting stuff, as well as the typical unusual stuff we discuss sometimes. LoL
As much as your hosts LOVE CNC machining, this week we're here to share lots of information regarding cutting foam manually with a hot wire! We cover power supplies, bows (and other apparatus, too), wires - just about everything you need to know to add these techniques to YOUR building skills. Hang on! We've got LOTS of links this week!
One thing I've noticed about having Cathead on the show is that I am never at a loss for determining a funny and somewhat obscure show title. LoL
In this one we bring a small amount of news of rule-making and new products, and King provides us with a recap of the FPV event that he attended last weekend. It certainly looks as though our friend SkyJet (along with the help of his fellow club members, most certainly) did a great job in setting up this first-time event!
In this week's episode we continue our trend of covering all kinds of weird stuff, but there's also some seriousness. I get a chance to give my impression of my first MultiGP event (which was AWESOME!) and we get into a discussion regarding this whole Drone Registration mess that surfaced this week. Pfft!
This week we fill a few empty seats with some guest hosts (HatefulGravey, SR71Freak, and MultiRC-Mark), although we didn't really let them say much. LoL We share some news, read some listener emails, and try to urge folks to follow some rules.
This week we get the opportunity to visit with Chris Thomas of MultiGP fame. If you have been taken in by the fascinating world of FPV Racing, then you're certainly going to want to hear this one. Take a minute to go and sign up on the MultiGP website and see what it's all about!
So in this 327th installment of our little show you'll find our crew up to our typical nonsense (which includes corrupting even our youngest of youth), but we do have some fun info for you. Tim 'IFLYOS' King is back from his adventures at this year's Heli Extravaganza and he's here to share all of the fun with us.
In this episode of our little show, we do another segment of "Ask Us Anything". You guys asked some really good questions - so many, in fact, that we barely made a dent in the list! We'll be revisiting this from time to time as we find ourselves looking for content. Lots of fun was had recording this episode and we all hope that you enjoy it.
In this week's show we talk about Karl's new (old) Mud Duck, and then we get into a discussion on how one might build their own MultiRotor that is comparable in features and capabilities as something like a DJI Phantom 3 or 3DR Solo. We talked about lots of parts that we might use to satisfy this goal, so there are lots of links for you to click on!
In this week's installment there's some talk about the new FatShark Faceplates, Headplay Goggles, and I give my personal experience and opinions on both. It looks like Karl is scoring a deal on a 'new' used aircraft, and we share some items in the news. Also, you get a little peak inside our crazy minds as we roll right into an impromptu planning session for an absurd idea.
The planets all aligned and everything fell into place so that half of our team were able to attend the RAMS Club Electric Flight Festival in East Bend, North Carolina last week. In this week's installment, we'll talk a bit about the fun, food, and friends that all contributed to such an outstanding event. Also, as a bonus bit of info, we bring on our friend Matt "SR71Freak" Vaudrin to discuss some things you might consider doing to your aircraft should you experience a 'fly-away' as Matt did.
In this week's show we have the opportunity to meet and visit with a long-time listener - Lito, aka "Mochaboy" on the interwebs. In addition to talking about the upcoming North American FPV Meet (the 5th annual!), we also chat a bit about a new frame design that has piqued a LOT of interest!
This week we are fortunate to have a couple of guests in the workshop with us. Steve "Vintauri" Mills pops in to tell us all about how this year's WATTS Over Owatonna went and also gives us some dop on the another Fly-In coming soon. We also get to talk with Mark Lehman from MultiRC!
In this week's show we are really quite the mess. Hang in there with us, though, as we eventually get on track and bring you an interview with a really cool gent with an even cooler organization - we visit with Scott Zimmerman from AirBears.org! If you play the FPV game or even have the skills and gear to do Aerial Photography, I urge you to listen to this episode. This group has already assisted in the saving of 4 lives!
Yes, it's a 'thing' and Cathead can tell you all about it.
This week we are back from a two week vacation! It was nice to get away for a spell and three of our team went north to the Crash-In, Fly-In in Saranac, MI. It was a great event held at a superb flying facility. I'm telling you, if you ever find yourself anywhere close to this facility, drop by and fly. You won't be disappointed.
This week it's the Crash and Cathead Show! We talk about a little of this and a little of that, but mainly we just waste your time this week. LoL I was not really planning to do a show this week, but it's so hard to stay away from the Wednesday night LIVE thing with everyone.
There's a few news items, another IOTW candidate, and we give our live audience a chance to ask US a few questions.
