Saturday was rocking! We had 20-25mph winds with gusts of 35mph. Lead was in great demand and heavy planes were the name of the game. Also we tried out some F3F racing. Miami Mike had setup a timing rig to sight the racers and it seemed to work out pretty good.

Several guys went up to the Gator F3b up near Melbourne this weekend, http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...295741&page=21. As a result we didn't have a huge crowd this Saturday, but plenty of fun.
For the loyalists who showed up, we had a SE wind, so we ended up in the "bowl". There was plenty of good wind, but it was just light enough (7-9mph)to depend on catching some of the strong thermals floating through. Julio was the highlight of the day, bringing out a new plane that looked like cross between a NASA shuttle and Romulian Bird of Prey. First test flights were not promising.

Thanks to NE winds we found ourselves camped around our NE "bowl" overlooking the powerplant. The wind stayed at 7-9mph so we actually got some slopeing in. There were lots of light stuff up too, DHLG, TD and some electrics. Almost a party atmosphere as we placed our chairs on the lip and sipped on our soft drinks and watched the day go by.
