This last Saturday turned out winder and colder than we expected. It was a cold North wind which made the 60deg weather feel like 50deg. The steady 15mph wind made for some great sloping. Our new member , Mike C, who just joined up, was nice enough to bring a gallon of java with donuts up. It went fast! Thanks Mike.

Saturday was a cool morning, a light wind out of the North. Just enough slope lift to slope the light stuff, and not to strong so we could trim out our TD planes. With the contest this weekend (2/5,2/6) in Orlando, lots of guys were sending their competition birds up on a high start. It was just too much trouble to set up a winch. A lazy bunch we are!

Saturday found a decent sized group of us on the West side, overlooking the turnpike. Winds were supposed to be WNW, but luckily for us they were straight out of the West. It was a bit nippy, especially with a 15mph wind (yeah!). Lots of slopeing happening. We even had Paul, Mike N, and Larry setting up a high start and getting some practice in for FSS#1.

Last pic. It's a neat, very small scale plane that Paul picked up this week.

This Saturday we had a medium sized crowd. Wind was about 10mph out of the East. Wind shifted to the NE around Noon, but no one left the East slope to go to the NE bowl. Plenty of good flying!
