The wind calmed down last night before sunset so I got a chance to maiden the EF Yak. I wish all maidens were that easy. I only took one battery, but that was all I needed to know this is going to be a fun plane to try and master. Within a couple laps to get a feel for her, I took her up and tried out some waterfalls and flat spins. I love a plane that can do waterfalls with ease, and the Yak did not disappoint. I tried a couple blenders, but I think I had too much control surface movement, because it kept flopping out at weird angles, so Iíll have work on those. Knife edge was a lot of fun and effortless. It wanted to tuck to the landing gear, but I always mix in elevator/rudder mix for about +5% up elevator in all my planes, so all I had to do was flip a switch and knife edge was perfect. And last but not least for the maiden flight, the landing was beautiful. She floated in and at the last minute I gave a burst of throttle and she harried in with ease. I think Iím going to like this plane.

I'll get some video on the next flight.

Finally got my Extreme Flight Yak-54 e-Profile 48" and Great Planes Edge 540T 50" ready for their maiden. The Yak has a Torque 2814T/820 with a 14x7 prop and a FP 2500 4S. The Edge has a Hacker A30-10XL with a 13x6.5 APC prop and will be powered with 2200 4S lipos.

Weather has been rainy and windy for the last week, but this weekend I think I'll get a chance to maiden them both.

Will post flight report on both.
