A local club is having a Float Fly this weekend and I finally finished something I've always wanted. Iíve always wanted the ability to retrieve planes without a full scale gas sucking boat. I've been working on an electrical retrieval boat since last October. I had most of the body done before winter hit, but didnít get a chance to paint it. I finally started painting it a few months ago, and tonight I finally finished it. This will give me a day to test it out before the Float Fly on Saturday. I'll try to get some video of it. I know it's nothing exciting, but I like remote control boats of any type.
Here is what she looks like. She has a BM2915-5 motor, one of the Chinese imports with a KV of 930. It will run on 3 or 4 Li-Po's, and can handle up to 35 Amps. The motor comes with the nice prop adapter shown in the photo, weighs 4.3 ounces, and is rated for up to 400 Watts. I'm using a 4S 3200 lipo. I'm not plan on using all that power, I'm hoping to not have to change the battery out only once or twice the whole day
