Sorry for the bare wood, it hit a lightpole shortly after a major rebuild. When it's in the air I don't notice the ugly.
Music wire passes through aluminum tubes which pass through approx 1/2 x 1 inch doublers on the fuselage. The doubler on the rear tube is twice as big because it sees much higher forces.
Fiberglass rods are attached to the music wire by wrapping with kevlar ribbon. The fiberglass rods are joined by a V shaped gusset of kevlar mat wrapped balsa. The grain must run from rod to rod.
The motor is the high Kv Feigao 130 with the GWS 370 'A' gear and an APC 8x8. With a 3s 910mAh lipo it'll go straight-up. It's also satisfyingly fast for the small field where I fly.
