My first ever blog, may as well introduce myself to those who want to know.
After almost a 10 year lay off, I've been reintroduced to aero modelling by my brother almost 2 years ago.
One of my great loves was slope soaring, due to the skills that it honed when I used to fly pattern. My return to power flying has seen me head in the scale direction rather, but the pull to the slope was inevitable. After seeing Sean's blog and building my first Mig, I once again became a regular on our local slopes.
Now with my young son flying with me, I'm having the time of my life!

My first Mig. Built with electric power, but as soon as I sloped it, I knew. That motor never powered her for one flight. -

New year 2013, we flew on the slope from 14h00 and this pic was taken at around 19h30. Sean and I left Maitlands just after 20h00. After I logged almost 5hrs flying time!
