I have recently purchased a Blade 450 X and have been practicing my hovering with it successfully. Do you think getting a Nano CPX for indoor flying will help me speed the collective pitch flying learning curve along with the use of my Phoenix Sim 4? The simulator can get boring at times and it would be cool to practice real time CP flying indoors on a heli that will take the abuse of crashing without being too hard on the wallet.

So my question for CP indoor flying......Nano CPX..or...MCPX V2 ??

Also, I've been wondering what is the max wind speed I should be attempting to hover / fly the 450X in ?

Thanks for the feedback!

Spoke to a product support rep and asked him about using training gear on the 450 X and was told NOT to use it anymore. The rep then gave me new settings to input on my DX6i to tame the 450 X down. I took the training gear OFF and went on to try hovering without it and using the DX6i settings from Horizon Hobby............the heli felt a lot more manageable and tamer and also I did NOT even miss the training gear, so much soo that I ran the battery too long .........THE BLADE 450 X DOES FLY A LOT BETTER WITHOUT TRAINING GEAR! Thank you HH!!....for the DX6I settings!!

Someone told me today that if i really want to learn right I should take the 450 X back to the store and exchange it for a bigger bird like a 500 X because the are more stable and handle better in the wind .........Is that the right thing to do?? I still have 1 week to do it and the money to exchange it. What should I do?.....450 X or 500 X ??

...By the way did that battery on this hover just run a lot longer than it is supposed to?

I read that I should not be using training gear on a Flybarless heli because it will make the BeastX act funny. Is that correct? Also I replaced the carbon blades with woodies in fear of crashing and breaking them. They are expensive. I just hovered for the very first time (in 15 mph winds) probably not a good idea for a beginner like me. I did not crash but broke the training gear on the second battery during a hard landing . ...
