I picked a newspaper one sunday morning, news was bad 'Air plane crash'. The usual feeling is you feel sorry for the souls lost as was mine. But something pricked me there like a small needle one liner saying it took 28 hrs to find the debris, and there were 14 lives which could ve been saved out of 129 aboard. Those 14 were alive untill 12 hrs after the crash.
As the crash investigation was done in the cliffs of himalayas where the debris heat was well hidden by the cold weather and dense forest line, finding the crash site would have been equally difficult. The plane had drifted 400Kms from the last point it logged in the ATC Kathmandu, Nepal.
I got this flash idea then and there, it gripped me and I was into the unknowns of RC flying zones. As an embedded design and development pro I have made many contributions to today consumer electronics product lines but RC flying was something out of sight.
Its been little over a month of my internet research, I procured most of the parts locally. I have gathered a fair idea from Gress Aero's nVADER 600. Design of the frame is fairly ready the fabrication shall start soon. Will keep posted.
