Well I know it is a little after Fathers Day but I have decided to make my 1st blog about my gift I received on Fathers Day. It was a Hobbico Twinstar.
My sons bought me this and I happen to have two OS 25SF engines laying around that I dropped into the plane. It is a easy assembly, instructions as straight forward. Some of my dislikes are the engine nacelle covers that the throttle servo hits. Also I do not like the supplied fuel line for the klunk in the tank. It is to hard for the size of the tank and I had to replace with some softer fuel line I had.
I have ran the engines a few time to break them in, and have them so they will slow down to an idle. The sound of the twins sounds so nice that I can not wait to do its maiden flight this Sunday. I will do another installment after Sunday when I take the plane for it's first flight,.
