Today I am very proud to say I got my quad copter lifted off the ground and hovering (albeit a tad unstable) for the first time since my disastrous rookie crash in April. Knowledge is becoming settled in my brain and I am able to follow the "logic" of the whole RC Quadcopter experience.
I'm really excited now. When I've logged a few hours I will attach the AeroXquad GoPro Gimbal and Fatshark FPV goggles and see how she flies....
...but already my brain is scheming a plan...to build a quad or a hex ....from scratch!

Getting into RC has been a lengthy and sometimes frustrating learning curve for me. The acronyms, the basics, the costs and the waiting game (most products and spares have to be imported to South Africa). I'm embarrassed to admit I nearly totaled my quad on it's first flight - I've been re-building it for the last 4 months in my limited spare time. I hope to be up and flying again soon. By the end of this I'm sure I'll be an expert!
