Tried Alex's Blue Beam antenna set and unfortunately lost the plane. Recovered it later in one piece except broken elev horn.
Picture was pretty bad from the start but video went out in about 300ft on goggle flight. Dont really know the cause but suspect the antennas. Will get another test with different VRx and see what happens.
Seams like they were tuned for different channel??
Need more testing .
This video is LOS flight before I went on goggles to see if I can see anything with these antennas. Forgot to press record button AGAIN for the goggle flight
while testing my new recorder same thing happened when I lost the plane.
Apparently there is nothing wrong with Alex's antennas, also my Vtx works OK. This was run on the table with inverted V and CP.
Next suspect would be the OSD.
Had a great, short session flying with kevinv033, it was to windy to try anything fancy but fun, regardless.
Since the video link was good I tried new recording device, and had few surprises, like skipping frames, freeze frame, but I think that could be just slow SD card.
Experts are invited to comment :-))
Made a new inverted V, but had few surprises.
CP antenna on the ground, no diversity.
First time total black outs
something makes noise there, may have to move components around.
This time same inverted V on the plane.
On the ground CP and Rubber ducky (naked) 6' high with diversity.
No black outs but lots of noise on one antenna ( did not see which) then diversity kicks in for better reception but still some problems.
Home arrow on OSD goes nuts.
I guess it takes some getting used to low level flying.
Have to get it soon :-) just getting the feel of looking with camera eye.
I am allowed to crash/trash ONLY one plane a year so no wonder why Im nervous :-))
