As some of you know by my recent for sale threads I just unloaded my TBS disco and custom Ground Station along with some other items to fund a 3D printer. Well everything sold and I ordered the kit. My love of building and designing along with the cold weather ahead has shifted my focus in this wonderful hobby. I hope to further assist my fellow multi addicts with some new designs and hopefully another affordable gimbal. I ordered the kit and will be picking it up Thursday. I will update this blog with pictures and a build log of my progress. A special thanks goes out to MrDus for reminding me how much I've wanted a printer as well as the users who bought my quad and GS. Stay tuned...
This is what it should look like when its done

First off this is a great frame and I thoroughly enjoyed building it. I learned a few things along the way and had to disassemble a couple times throughout but that usually happens. I'm currently using the 155mm LG and the Jakub gopro gimbal. 2826 NTM prop drive motors 750kv, HK F30a SimonK escs, 11-4.7 APC Props, and Naza/GPS. I have also decided to use the Crius AIO board as my gimbal controller. All of the escs were completely disassembled to re solder new longer cables to the motors as well as change the direction of the power leads to come off the board at a 90 degree angle so they could be mounted sideways along the boom blocks. I've taken a small amount of video in my testing and its come out ok. I still have a fair amount of jello and I don't really know how to get the most out of my gimbal servos with the multiwii code. Maybe someone else here has some experience with using a multiwii board as a dedicated gimbal controller. Here's some pics......Continue Reading

So I got my first 3d foamie the other day and fell in love. It was a hand built model and it flew great. I love to build so I immediately started researching how I could do the same thing. I soon realised I needed a foam cutter, so I made one. I didnt take pics of me building the frame/table but its really easy and I'll answer any questions you may have. So far all I have done is the body, I still need to add the power. I tried a handful of small power bricks I had lying around but none of them got the wire hot. I will try some others I have tomorrow.
