Hello friends, I am so happy for the last footage I take

I switch the old threeblades 9x50 to doubleblades 8x45 and made a test, really nice surprise for me, no jello in the picture, machine is different for controling, but i have to say beter, more controllable...
It is very easy to balance doubleblade props, the video is now stable,
The weight save 32g for props and 10g for the smaller nuts is also awesome!!
I am also able to power it all by one flight battery
Now I am using 2800mAh 30C 4S LiPo battery for everything including HEro 2, FPV camera and videoTx
gimbal is now dismounted for the testing reasons
weight of copter all onboard is now 1490g

Hello!

After big crash with new SONY NEX5 camera (copter v2 R.I.P) I decide to return some fun to the hobby and I rebuild it to the FPV special with SONY KX201 cam and HERO HD cam on board, simple OSD just for GPS informations, Quanum telemetry for Voltage Alarm

The 5,8Ghz does not satisfy me a lot (maybe is it due the FATSHARK Dominator 5,8Ghz reciever) and I am back in 2,4Ghz. I have to change the hitec Optima to my old Sherrer diversity reciever 433Mhz. With new groundstation I can fly 3km to all ways and 5km to the patch antenna direction and no fear to loose video signal (keeping the right attitude is neccesary). But with copter I am using it max. to 500m, I am still to scary go longer distances with copter...but it is all time biger fun to fly near around me

Big difference in my new ground station is wireless transmiting of video to the DOMINATOR glasses on 5,8Ghz. Copter is sending the video on 2,4Ghz to the GS and GS is sending the video by 5,8Ghz to the glasses. Then I add also the JAPAN FPV DVR, nice device and no neccesary to take my notebook with EasyCap device.

My point was to made it easy deploayble and more compact.
Everything is placed in to the diplomatic case, powered is it by one or two 3S bateries in paralel (1000maH = aprox. 1hour). Some BECs inside for DVR and 5,8Ghz video TX, also Li-Po volatage alarm is there (even this function is also in Oracle device).

HI RC fellows!

Some modifications on my Y6 Multiwiicopter are done.

1) Lowering the weight shortening of the cables and put out all golds connectors -28g
2) Change the small 4S 2200mAh battery for the battery with higher capacity 4S 2650mAh
3) Use the Flytron vibration dampers for flightcontroler mounting on the copter chassis
4) Use the rubber band for helping to the camera stabilisation servo (it is now more soft then before)
5) Get out all backlash from the cammera gimbal
6) Change the FPV FATSHARK 5,8Ghz 100mw for the 600mW version from immersion
7) Change the stock antennas for the CP ones
8) Copter is now also very well balanced

Hello guys!

I am king of the castle I am just joking, I am still just excited about this machine.
I can handle it a litle bit now, it is war with vibrations for forever.
What do you think the copter guys, it will be beter or not with comming experiences?

Nevermind, some very small vibrations are still good for flying.
I think not so bad, just check it and tell me your impresions if you like;-)

Hello RC friends,

I invested to the new toy and I can say I realy like it.
It is 100miles from aiplane rc flying, I have to learn everything from very beginning...
The package deal inlude also second flight controler with roll stabilized gimbal.
I had to forgot to get some nice video now, still learning basic flying like turning and so on.
No safe for flying with camera, sometimes crash occur...

Realy thanks for support of the guys here on multiwii forum, with their support I was able to solve problems on start.
Now I can feel it is in my hands and depends just on my skills (still very low )
Aproximately 20 GWS props is broken, they are realy soft, but also cheap and works well if you landing corectly.
The bottom props are on Y6 really on low positions, nice grass-cutter, the best I ever see

Hi there,

the HD HERO 2videos are here, mode is 1080p, wide, 30frames,
edited by Power DVD director,
some of short parts in video are stabilzed by this software, but realy just few short parts for test of this funcionality

*BETA 1400 EG wings, finally the aircraft does not make obstacle in the picture.

*Not so stable videos as last time, because not so tranquil air this day, the air was unstable due the thermal streams.

*I can say now that you got much more stable video when the early morning flying, when is air unturbulent.

*better results when flying high with CP antennas, picture still nice at 900AGL

Hello all FPV pilots,

I made some improvments on my BETA 1400. Firstly I have to say, that 1,2kg all on board weight is to much for this airplane.
It was very unstable and uneffective, 13 minutes flight time with 2200maH 3S Li-Po. The pure taste of flying starts be missing me...

*Then I made upgrade to BETA 1800 - I changed the wings for the Easyglider ones.
Now is it so stable in the air I realy like it.
Flight time increased to 20 minutes with same batteries
I loose however a speed performance a litle bit

*Wings upgrade was very easy, it was already prepared for those wings, nothing necessary to cut or change
(I have BEta 1400 type 2 - as I know there are three types of them, just evolution, but some details are realy different, for example wing fixation system)


*when I put the video transmiter out from old wings, then I decide to change the video antennas to CP ones,
Now is there clover leaf antenna on Vtx (3 wires)
on first VRx is clover leaf 4 wire antenna
on second VRx is CP patch 8dB
both VRx stil connected thrue Oracle diversity controler, I will love this device for forever

*I have to say that CP antennas (experience with them just from the first flights) are awesome, the picture is prety nice
maybe is just subjective, but online video feed is much more clearer then before, I think it canot be beter now!

*I dont tested now the CP antennas on the long distance, "only" 1,8km and now problems, I have to made soon distance...Continue Reading

No modifications on system, I would like just to share it

When I am thinking now, some litlle modifications...
HERO on litle higher position.
Then finally I can produce HD video, using Power Cyberlink Director, works nice.

New/ 2nd platform (Cularis) is in projecting phase

The first video was flying above my born village, awesome time for me!

Hello pilots!

winter ends here finally today! Today was hot weather, I set my new personal distance record to 3,5km.

*I made some improvements for get the weight of The plane down.
Firstly change the Video 1000mAH battery for 500mW - save 55g
Then I cut-out part of TBS 690 Pixim Seawolf heat sink - save 10g
Change power connectors for video for the tinny ones - save 3g
Shortening of some servo and power cables - 8g
Remove some hotglue -5g
--------------------------------------------------------------
Save together 81g... satisfying
Now my FPV Beta 1400 weights 1190g all on board

*Thinking to build second FPV platform with beter flying performance, maybe Cularis ...

Some fllight from last week here, it is village I know very well for long time, it was awesome to see it from the air firstime!

Hello RC friends, firstly I now it is terrible expensive, but picture is the best, I like the 120fps and I am planning to use HERO not just for FPV.

Today I finally tested the ORACLE and works very good.
I feltl it as help to be sure, that I do everything to dont loose a Beta.
I set my new record also today - 1850m far away from GS, measured by SIMPLE OSD GPS. Quality of video signal was not bad, but I forgot move patch antenna on to the higher angle and remembr about that during the flight.
I was so afraid I turned back and dont catch the 2km, nevermind
*I have to prepare my pre-start check list for next-time, to many things to set before flight... easy to forget something...

*I use it with 10dB patch antenna on the 1st Vrx and rubber ducky antenna on the second one (the tunned). Sensitivity of Oracle adjusted to medium
When flying behind me it just beeps sometime and swtch from p0atch to whip
Also after 1km Oracle sometimes beeping (switching to the better source), that I expected from it

*also mounted ready made RC PAN TILT set, works well, but dont like to much because aerodynamic issues... it is to high

*but really big challenge is placing my new GO PRO HERO 2 camera on BETA together with FPV system, my todays 3 flghts with GO PRO installed on the wing was not good, also aerodynamic issues. Hello FPV maniacs, yesterday I improved my groundstation with second Vrx and Oracle - David reporting

But firstly ...Gamekeepers (local hunters) dont like I am flying somwhere in the midle of nowhere.

Result is no more flying there, I have to change my place... I think I am in love in this piece of ground, my first 6 FPV sesions, 8,5hours of euphoria, I know this place a well now, probably better then the hunters who dont like me there It is also important place from my childhood, therefore the flying there had a special taste for me, S**T!
Conditions wil be different next-time, generally not good for new stuff testing... nevermind, I am in peace, new place is also nice and places theywill comming in the future...

Back to Ground Station
However now is not good weather to ORACLE testing, but looking forward for it.
From some basic test I made on the ground it looks that ORACLE is nice and working. During the Brightnes calibration everything works perfectly.
Sensitivity set on normal.

*In ORACLE is then a low voltage alarm possible to set to any voltage I want (probably surprise for me only ), really nice job!

*for now is plan a use one Vrx (the tunned one) with Lawmate stock rubber ducky antenna 2-3dB(I dont know, this information no possible to find) and the second Vrx with patch antenna (panel) 10dB

*first test flight will be just with new 10dB panel antenna without googles and after video check try it again with diversity
plan is to record the oracle device by mobilphone camera for later function check

*after I will connect finally the microphone on aircraft, then I would like to try the trick with just one Vrx Audio connection for easy video switching recognize

Hi all video pilots!
Some improvements were made on my FPV Beta 1400

*PAn servo added, however no possible to get full 180 field of wiev with this basic servo.
I thinked that it will be possible to adjust on Aurora thrue E.P.A. but dont find a solution
probably some servo stretcher help me or special servo

*PAN is controled by slider on Aurora 9, Head tracking no possiblle on this radio, trying to find some solution but...

*Camera is now on a little higher position due the PAN servo, I think it is better now

*SIMPLE OSD board connected, however I made some polarity misstake in connection of one currency sensor and destroy it...
new sensor ordered, now I am monitoring just video battery

*It looks, that SIMPLE OSD works correctly,
just everytime in some random time in flight is displayed "waiting for GPS position fix" (and dont disappear), but GPS is still working, dont understand...
It is a litle annoying to have it this message in the picture, can anybody help?

*Mix of throtle to elevator helps a fly straight as arrow on high speed.
Max. speed tested 98Km/h
Max. level speed 80Km/h

*Aurora 9 with original NiMh 1300mAh battery (fully charged) with Sherrer UHF connected powered on 1Wat, instantly after powerup Aurora, it displays 60% of battery.. just tested 2W, then it goes to 37%!!!
It is why I also changed the battery in Aurora for the new Li-Po 2S 2100mAh, now it shows on 1W after power on 100%
